Mixed feelings — not as advertised
We enjoyed parts of our stay, but several important things were not as advertised.
There was no Nordic bath and no spa. There were two small sheds or saunas, but they looked unused for a long time, with only a QR code explaining how to activate.
The “private pool” was misleading. We expected two accommodations sharing a pool. In reality, there were five accommodations and potentially around 30 people using it. Our accommodation was next to a gravel parking area rather than directly by the pool as the photos suggested.
Privacy was limited. The hosts were frequently outside smoking, talking and walking around, and their dog was often around. It was not mentioned in the listing, went into the children’s play area and left dog poo there, and regularly came underneath our table while we ate outside.
The checkout experience was particularly disappointing. We followed the cleaning instructions and checked with the host, who repeatedly said, “Don’t worry, it’s fine.” Afterwards, we were told that two people had spent three hours cleaning and €90 of our €400 deposit was withheld for textiles and the dishwasher. Six person-hours feels excessive, and if you choose white textiles that cannot be properly cleaned with your facilities, that is a management choice—not something guests should be blamed for. I felt genuinely misled and unfairly blamed.
Receiving this strong worded message while already at our next destination was especially upsetting.
