Hotel is very close to restaurants and Pompei ruins. Front desk staff was very nice. He allowed us to store our luggage in his office while we visited the surrounding area. Onsite restaurant is closed. No room amenities such as coffee, but the free breakfast area was great with a very friendly barista. Shower would be better if it had a curtain to keep the room from being soaked. Low water pressure for toilet flushing.

Location!
What a great location! So close to the Pompei ruins entry and the train station. The restaurants near the train are open a wide range of hours and the food was great. The hotel is an older style but matches the photos. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was immacutely clean and the room was spacious. Had free parking on site. Breakfast was a wide variety of options and proper coffee! Couple of little downsides were not many powerpoints in the room and the shower over bath wasn't very long. Would definitely stay again

This lovely family run hotel is a pleasure to stay at. Convenient for easy access to the Pompeii ruins it is the only hotel with its own swimming pool that you can relax by after along hot day visiting the various sites that make up this iconic World Heritage site. We will be back.

This was clearly a very grand hotel in its day , it is still very nice but you can see the building is in an advanced stage of deterioration , large areas of concrete now breaking away exposing the rusty steel reinforcement below , I enjoyed the stay and the pool area is great . It is also a perfect location to visit Pompeii and Vesuvius etc.

Perfect location and great breakfast
Location is fantastic, very close to the ruins and if you were getting the train, that’s also very close. There is also on site free parking if you drive. The pool is nice as it is seriously hot after walking around the ruins, the breakfast had a pretty decent choice and was all you can eat. Only minor issue was that the AC was a bit out of date in the room. It meant you had to wait a bit to get properly cool. Also it turned off when you left room as key needed but the old cardboard in the slot trick works perfectly to solve this. Would happily stay here again.

When I arrived at the property it was disappointing. The staff were not positive, the room was bare bones and not adequate. I ended up cancelling the reservation and moving to another hotel. The ONLY good thing about this hotel was location.

Great stop over .
Our stay was only one night , it was good enough for what we needed. The pool and breakfast were very welcome after our day on Pompeii, just a short walk away. Also the staff were very amenable . The accommodation we stopped in was away from the main hotel more of a motel facility's.

Nice stay. Close to everything without the tourists. Great pool but badly needs a food outlet as there is nowhere to buy food close by and the rooms do not have a fridge or even a kettle to brew a coffee. Service excellent. Staff very friendly and keen to help. I would stay here again.

Excellent hotel for visiting the Pompeii ruins
This hotel is in a fantastic position for visiting the Pompeii excavations with one of the main gates just a few minutes walk away (so you can park your car and walk to Porta Marina). The hotel itself is a few years old but the rooms (we were 4 people in 2 rooms) are a good size and were kept spotlessly clean with everything working well (including the AC!) The pool is fantastic and a good size and each day we had a really good breakfast on the mezzanine terrace (we were there in August). There is a bar in the lobby but for lunch and dinner you will need to use one of the restaurants up or down the road (we ate at 3 during our stay and rated them good to excellent) or go further by car / taxi into bustling Pompeii itself. One of the best points of the hotel was the friendliness and helpfulness of the staff who gave us some great tips on when to visit the site and where to go in town. Overall, we would highly recommend this hotel as a base for visiting the area rather than just coming to Pompeii for a day trip.

Great pool and location
The hotel is as you should expect a 2 star property to be with the added bonus of friendly, helpful staff and a brilliant swimming pool. We booked for the location (Pompeii, close to the train station) and the pool so it delivered for us and we would stay there again. Note that there is no restaurant and only a very simple breakfast buffet so if your food needs are more than ours then consider another property or you can eat in many other places with 5, 10 or 14 mins walk.

Be aware--Staff was nice and helpful. That's about where the good experience ended. Our room did not have air conditioning--our booking said that it would. Fortunately we were experiencing unseasonably cool weather in Italy. It would have been unbearable otherwise. Our room backed up to a campground so there were people camping just below our window, which needed to be open because of the no-AC (mentioned above). It was loud into the night and it was hard to close the shades to get privacy. The "free wifi" was not available in our guest room, it was in the main building only. The breakfast that goes from 7-10 gets cleaned up at 9:30 so be aware of that. The worst part though was that we weren't able to get any hot water in our room. It just never produced anything but cold, no matter what we did with the faucet. My standards generally are fairly low for hotels-- clean room with hot water, or at least rooms that are as-advertised. Just be aware of what you're getting into here so you can adjust your expectations.

Nice Hotel as a base for travelling
Hotel small so always plenty of sun loungers and seats, swimming pool made the difference especially in August and kids loved it. It is heated on the evenings and open until 10pm it made a massive difference for us to relax and for the kids to splash around following hours of sightseeing in the daytime. We used this hotel as a base to visit naples, herculaneum, pompeii and sorrento and it was perfect for that reason. Restaurants on the evening are about a ten to fifteen minute walk but the town of Pompeii comes alive at night and is beautiful and relaxing. Hotel staff friendly. Breakfast basic but did the job to set us up for the day. Would go back but only in the summer months when the pool is open. You also don't pay city tax at this hotel at the time of writing :-)

The 'Mystery' is that by June 10th, the pool was still under repair, is empty, and not open. The restaurant is now closed. However, the staff is great, the breakfast is fresh, and the bar well stocked.

A Very Tired Old Hotel
We arrived after a fourteen hour journey to be very disappointed. We chose this hotel specifically because it had a pool. Unfortunately the pool was empty. In our room the wifi did not work, so we could not watch tv on the iPad. The room was not equipped with a tv, kettle or fridge. So, we could not even prepare a drink. We were told we did not have to stay the week as arranged. But, it is hard to find alternative accommodation in June, especially as the wifi was so poor in the reception area. The TV in the reception did not have an English Channel. There was also no air conditioning in the reception/ breakfast area which did not encourage you to stay very long. Our double bed was two singles put together and our pillows were almost flat. The room was also set up for a disabled person. The poor receptionist doubled as bar attendant in the evening. A very tired hotel where the facilities were less than a cheap B and B. We were most upset as we only take one holiday a year.

great location to visit scavi Pompei. Although hotel has a nice swimming pool and was very clean, it is very outdated, especially the economy rooms. These are the motel rooms and have NO comfort (no airco, no TV, very small bathroom). Beds are not comfortable (hard matress). Poor wifi.

Super wee spot to stay
Great place to stay away Pompeii, nice rooms and clean pool. Easy into the ruins especially if want to avoid the masses and pop in later. Walk into town is fine and worth it as we found Pompeii row. To be one of the cleanest, and check out the bar just before the 24 supermarket, hidden behind the service station.... All cocktail €5! Great place.

A convenient escape from the heat of Pompeii
The hotel's big attraction to us was its convenience for access to the Pompeii archaeological site, enabling early arrival to beat the long queues that build in the morning. The hotel also provides an oasis that is an escape from the heat and crowds of summer. The swimming pool and surrounding area is a great place to relax. The hotel is an easy 400m walk from the local railway station but in the evening local restaurants are quite a long walk into town but not an unpleasant walk. The breakfast is nothing spectacular but good enough and in a good outdoors, shaded setting overlooking the pool area. I didn't expect the hotel to be right beside the railway track and the autostrada and consequently be more noisier than I expected. The staff were helpful, efficient and polite and the rooms well serviced. The showering arrangement in the bathrooms is arcane, with a handheld shower that is designed for use whilst sitting down in the bath - but, hey, it worked!

spacious economical rooms (we were in the "tower") with large bathroom that made alarming gurgling noises but worked fine, quiet neighbourhood, huge pool which was our deciding factor, generous breakfast included, safe free parking, very short drive to a surprisingly nice downtown pompeii and its family-run and affordable Osteria di Peppino

It is a basic hotel and has a nice pool which feels great after visiting pompeii. The location is excellent if that is your intent to visit the ruins. The wifi never worked while I was there. One-night Pompeii stopover
Overall there aren't many places to stay in Pompeii, but here is what stuck with me: + Great location: It is about a 3-5 minute walk to the small train station that is located on the same street. + We didn't utilize the staff very often, but they were very helpful + It has a pool!!! This is VERY rare in Italy and was honestly the biggest reason we stayed here given how much you sweat touring the ruins + The lobby is nice, if that is something you're into - No shower, just a tub with one of those shower heads that you can hold. - The A/C sounded like a computer from 1980 with a small animal hidden inside (but did magically cool the room when we were able to tolerate the sound) - The bathroom faucets were poorly cleaned. - The room just has the look of a Days Inn or a cheap US motel.

Close to the ruins of Pompeii
The best thing I can say about this hotel is it's location in relation to the ruins at Pompeii; it is less than a 5 minute walk to the entrance. Other than that the hotel needs a bit of modernizing for me to actually give it a great review. The common areas are not air conditioned, the room air conditioners turn off when you leave the room so when you return the room is uncomfortably hot in August. The WiFi needs an upgrade, it is hit and miss getting a signal. All and all this could be a really nice hotel if they would just make an effort upgrading the infrastructure, I am a contractor and I know that they should not have to break the bank to bring the place up to speed.

Lovely family run hotel
We stayed here with my daughter for 3 days and nights so we could easily visit Pompei and Vesuvius. It was an extremely comfortable stay. This is a 2 or 3 star hotel so if you go expecting more then that's when you may be disappointed. The rooms are plain but have comfy beds, are clean and we had one with aircon which was fine. Do check when you book that you have an aircon room. If you can get a room on the top floor you will be rewarded with fantastic views of either the ruins or Vesuvius. I think the hotel exceeds expectations in that the staff are very friendly, it's family run, has a lovely Italian feel about it, not impersonal at all. And the pool is excellent, very comfy sun loungers and plenty of shade all around. I think the pool only opens over the summer so worth checking with the hotel when you book. In the hot Pompei summer it was a god send and my daughter loved it so great if you are there with your family. It's also a short walk (7 mins) to the entrance of the ruins, to the buses to Vesuvius and to the Circumvesuviana train station Pompei Scavi so it's very easy to reach other attractions by train. If you are driving the hotel has plenty of parking.

Wish it lived up to its physical beauty
Ok I've tried to write a thorough review several times, but 1500 characters isn't enough. So you get the down and dirty version. Cons: beds were terrible, finding a way in was difficult and the restaurant was just ok. There is a door marked reception, but it appears to be locked at all times. The way in appears to be down around the pool and up several steps, without a handrail, while dragging luggage behind. The food was all frozen or out of a can. The desserts were all ice cream, though that was not stated on the menu anywhere. Restaurant check payment is cumbersome at best. I would not likely book another stay here. If the management would like more detail, I'd be happy to provide. The positives: The breakfast was great! Best of all of the locations we stayed on our trip. The staff was pleasant and helpful once you figured out how to get to them. The location was great and the view from our room was amazing.

No water in the pool - may is too early! No soap or toiletries supplied which was ok as water pressure so low in the shower - which was 2ft high - was so low it was more effective to have a wash at the sink. No restaurant avalable for lunch or evening meal on the day we where there. Breakfast was ok nice coffee. Only reason to stay was the view & that it is right next to the ruins.

Good with a car.
We were visiting heritage sites nearby and needed another night quickly. The hotel has good parking and a pleasant setting. It is fading a little and is slightly distant from outside restaurants and shops. This was late September and there were not many other people there.
