Wonderful Cabot Trail vacation home
Rental exceeded our expectations in every way. Location was excellent, the property is very beautiful and private, exceptionally clean, and nicely decorated. The owner provided detailed information about the rental and the area. Stunning views of the ocean and sunsets from all rooms. We hope to make it back here someday.

Fantastic experience
The property is beautiful, spotless and well-equipped. Michael the host goes out of his way to ensure you’ve a great stay. Was the ideal place to relax and explore Cape Breton after a hectic trip out east. We would definitely stay there again.

Great property for short stay in Cape Breton
We really enjoyed staying in this 3 bedroom bungalow in Cape Breton. Beautiful grounds overlooking the Gulf of St. Lawrence, easy access to Cheticamp and the National Park. The place was very clean and nicely decorated. We enjoyed watching the sunset every evening from the back patio.

Fantastic property!
this is a lovely house right on the ocean in Point Cross, conveniently close to Cape Breton Highlands National Park. It is exactly as advertised.... Michael, the owner/host was fantastic! Very attentive to our needs. We would highly recommend this property and would definitely stay here again the next time we come to Cape Breton!

Fantastic location close to park and dining but far enough off the road that it seems like you have the ocean to yourself. Great sunsets and well stocked kitchen. Owner was very responsive and promptly returned an item left behind within a couple of hours of our leaving.

Beautiful- inside and out!
This was one of our favorite places we stayed on our Cabot Trail trip. It was exactly as pictured- beautifully decorated on the inside with amazing natural beauty on the outside. Michael was a fabulous host and was available but not obtrusive. We really felt like we “got away” which is what we were looking for! If you are in the area, absolutely consider this place to stay. You will not be sorry!

Awesome Rental!
From the moment we drove up the entry road to the house, we knew we found the perfect rental. This private 3-bedroom modern style home was immaculate and very comfortable for the 4 of us staying there. Windows line the back of the house to give spectacular viewing of the Northlumberland Strait. Every morning we would look forward to watching the boats go by, the birds diving for fish, and the rabbits coming out to entertain us on the path leading down to the water. We cooked dinner there 3 out of the 4 nights we stayed there and found the kitchen hsd everything we needed. The house is just a short ride down the Cabot Trail to the Highlands National Park, where we hiked 3 days in a row. The owner recommended the Skyland Trail which had spectacular views of the ocean - we even got to see a moose, which was on our bucket list! Our stay here occurred just 1 week after the Halifax fires started. Our host contacted me before we left for our trip to assure us that Cape Breton was not being directly impacted by the smoke. This helped us make the decision to go and we couldn't be more happier that we did. I highly recommend this Point Cross rental. Susan Murphy

The perfect escape!
We stayed here in June of 2023. The property is immaculate and actually surpassed the pictures! We immediately loved it! The house is tucked away down a little drive way, so it felt like we had the world to ourselves. Amazing views out the back and plenty of peace and quiet. It was very easy to head to lots of hiking and activities destinations- of which there were plenty! We're already talking about booking a trip back.

Fantastic gem in Cheticamp area
We stayed here for 3 days, wish it could have been longer. Extremely clean and well stocked. Ideally set up perfectly for 2 couples but we were 3 couples and it was suitable. As others have mentioned saw beautiful sunsets every night from the deck. Location perfect for exploring the Cabot trail. Would definitely recommend this property for your Cape Breton experience. This house was immaculate. A very short walk to the beach and the sunsets were beautiful. Perfect location to enjoy for the Celtic Colours festival as well as traveling the Cabot Trail. Will definitely recommend this property to friends and family traveling to Cape Breton.

Absolutely beautiful property
Couldn’t be happier as the property was exceptionally clean. Each night we were able to walk out on the deck and see and hear the ocean. Watching the sunsets from the deck became a must see event. Michael couldn’t have been more accommodating. The property is top notch and we can’t wait to book the same property for the 2023 season.

Property is exactly as shown and Michael spends the time to ensure his guests are comfortable. Everything was first quality from the appliances to cutlery and china. Having that magnificent bald eagle land while we were having coffee on the deck was perhaps a bit over the top. But well done and thank-you.

Perfect place to stay on the island
We just had such a fabulous week at Cape Breton staying at this property. The house is not only the perfect location but it’s furnished beautifully, spotless clean and very private. We enjoyed the quiet, the beach, sitting on the deck and watching the sunsets. Cheticamp has restaurants, shops, food store and a great museum to see the greatest hooked art you’ll ever see. Michael is a great host checking in with us making sure everything is going well. The house is well stocked with all the necessities and the beds are very comfortable. I’m so happy we picked this location on the trail because we were only an hour or two from everything we wanted to see. I loved being on the beach at the end of the day saying hello to the seal and watching the sun go down. You will be so happy staying at this property. Thank you Michael!

A fantastic and modern house overlooking the water
My wife and I spent several days here to escape the hustle and bustle of Silicon Valley. What a beautiful property. It offers amazing views of the Gulf of St. Lawrence with fishing boats passing through and spectacular sunsets. The very clean, well-appointed house had just about every amenity you can think of and modern appliances. We had a wonderful time and would love to come back again to visit.

Fabulous weekend retreat
We stayed at Michael’s with a group of 6, looking to do hiking for the weekend. All was exactly as advertised, new, spotlessly clean, beds very comfy, well equipped and Michael was very attentive. We would definitely go and stay there again! Had the weather been a bit warmer, we would have spent more time on the beach, just a minutes walk from the back door. The Doreyman Pub in Cheticamp Friday night was a highlight, excellent singer & fun crowd. Thanks so much!

Beautiful quiet property that is directly on the cabot trail yet far from the road. You’ll hear only the ocean as you look directly into the gulf of St. Lawrence toward the setting sun. Following that on a clear evening is the opportunity for those used to city living to actually view the night sky.

An amazing property!
An exceptional property in beautiful Cape Breton on the most stunning oceanfront with breathtaking sunsets. This home is tastefully decorated, well equipped with everything you need, high quality furniture, linens and bedding. It is truly a piece of paradise and sits between the Cabot Trail and the Ceilidh Trail! Walk the Skyline, visit the Gypsum Mine, play golf in Cheticamp and Inverness and swim and beachcomb for treasures on all the beautiful beaches in the area! Spectacular Cottage
We are two couples who thoroughly enjoyed our five night stay at this beautiful cottage/property. It is exactly as the vrbo site shows. The cottage had all the necessities and the property was beautiful with amazing sunsets. Cheticamp is a beautiful part of Cape Breton and we enjoyed all our trail hikes, golf, and lunches out! We would definitely stay again and would highly recommend this cottage for a couple or two couples.

We can’t say enough to recommend this beautiful house and property. The cottage is gorgeously decorated and spotlessly clean. The owner, Michael, was extremely welcoming and helpful throughout our stay. The property is secluded with stunning views of the ocean yet it is only a few minutes from the charming town of Cheticamp which leads to Cape Breton Highlands Park. If you want to get away from it all, this lovely cottage is the perfect place to relax and recharge with family or friends. It is just as charming as it appears from the photos on the website.

The property is situated facing the ocean, a stone's throw from Cheticamp and the Cabot Trail. The vistas are quite spectacular! There is seafood to be had, even in October. Loved our time at this beautiful house with a light airy feel. Windows lit it up in the day, and sunsets and stars came in at night. It was quiet, and private and spotless.
