Very budget friendly option on road trip. Room has no frill but is functional enough. Just remember to bring your own shampoo and conditioner. It’s quiet enough considering proximity to I-70. Internet is very spotty at best, making it difficult for any extended stay. It’s in very rural area and dining options are very limited.

Premises were clean- although our bedding was black- prefer white.
No cups were provided in the room- neither were kleenex.
The heater had no temperature control making the room get very warm.
The mattress was comfortable.
We arrived after a 12 hr drive. The check in was easy. The room was clean, no bugs, the bed quite comfortable with cotton sheets, shower refreshing, airconditioner cool and room was nice and dark with the curtains closed. It was very quiet at night despite being next to a BP station. It was perfect for our needs. The only thing lacking was an ice machine and cups in the room for water. I also thought that in the advertisment for this place that breakfast was included. It was not.
Its a low budget excellent place to sleep on a journey. We dont need frills.
Lighthouse Lodge is a pretty bare-bones property. Right off the freeway in a bobtail town with the unfortunate name of Pocohontas (appropriating the name of a Native American woman with no connection to the area seems pretty sketch to twenty-first-century sensibilities—especially given that it had two other names before taking on the current name in 1865 naming itself after a local coal company). The room was clean, the bed comfortable and the facilities were fine. The floors were tile rather than carpeted which felt a bit weird, but this is a place to spend the night, not to settle into. The room includes a mini-fridge and microwave which were both unplugged (fortunately I caught this quickly at checkin).
There’s not much to the village of Pocahontas which is not the fault of the motel, and the desk clerk was courteous and pleasant. I had a room with an electronic door lock (a little surprising given the property) which meant check-out involved making sure I left nothing behind and taking off.
If you’re passing through the area and wondering if this is an acceptable property at which to spend the night, have no fear. You will sleep well and be able to continue on to whatever your actual destination is (unless this is your destination, in which case you will sleep well and be able to enjoy whatever it is that brought you to Pocohontas).
Property was conveniently located right off of the highway. It was clean, the manager was helpful in giving me the code for our room since we would be arriving very late and it was quiet all night. We were only passing through for one night...if we had to stay longer I would say no, get a hotel just due to comfortably.
Only thing that was "ehhh" was; when we arrived at 11:30pm, there was a shady looking heavyset woman sitting in her van in the parking lot, in the very last space. She stared at us the whole time we were getting out of my car and into the room. I had my son stay in the room while my husband and I got items out of the car. Where I am from we have mad sketchy people, so I was not intimidated at all cause I knew if could take her if need be lol. It was just strange and in the world today, who knows what people are plotting.
Simultaneously, 2 individuals, a man and a woman, came out of the office door and they sat under the covered, pull in spot in front of the office. That woman also stared at us as we unloaded our car.
The 1st shady lady then proceeded to turn her van on, and drive over to meet the couple and she parked under the covered parking area. The man went to her window and idk what went on from there. They were there for about a half hour...then they all vanished.
Weird...not scary for us, but for others not from the mean streets of Bridgeton NJ lol, y'all may be freaked out.

Clean and recently updated, Lighthouse was a great stop on our roadtrip! Right off the highway, with little around it but great sleep!
My stay was comfortable even though I came across oddities I've never encountered before. The first was that to check in, I had to go to the gas station next door where I had to wait for a phone call from the clerk to someone in charge of the Lodge. The second, and this was a good one, was that the locks are digital keypads. I was given the code when I checked in. The room was comfortable and fulfilled our needs. Although we could have used a hair dryer in the room. I would stay here again.
