"Aside from the hotel being very nice and comfortable and in a great location, unfortunately we experienced an emergency medical situation that drastically hindered my mobility. They quickly relocated us to a ground floor room as I could not traverse the stairs to our original 2nd floor room, mgmt helped my wife with the luggage while is was in ER and arranged cab service for us from hospital, to pharmacy and back to hotel. They went above and beyond in all regards. A special thanks to Denise who made things much easier for my wife while I was receiving treatment. If in Matera again I will definitely look to book."

"Staying in a cave room but having an entryway in the room with windows out on the gorgeous Matera scenery is perfect. We also had a porch with chairs to sit outside. The breakfast was amazing! Fresh and delicious food served to us by the most welcoming people you could ask for, Angela and Agnese. We also had a wonderful piano player, Gianni, at breakfast every day - now that's a first for us!. If we went back to Matera, which we hope to do some day, we would stay here again. The only negative is WiFi is not reliable in our room. Unfortunately across all of southern Italy our 5g T-mobile plan didn't work either so we used physical maps. We stayed a week and so were able to see a lot of this magnificent area. Most people only stay two or three nights and I feel that is not enough. "

We are an extended family made up of two grandparents, three families, and kids ranging from 10 to 17 years old, and for the past ten years, we’ve chosen Alborea Eco Lodge as our summer holiday destination. Every time it confirms our love for it—and every time, it’s hard to leave. Once again this year, the nautical activities were a big hit, especially with the kids, who enthusiastically took part in windsurfing, sailing, and canoeing. The food this year was perhaps the best we’ve had in the past ten years. A sincere thank-you and congratulations to the entire kitchen staff. A special mention goes to the Zurawski Band, whose live music created truly beautiful moments, adding a touch of quality and atmosphere to the already engaging entertainment offered by Bluserena’s amazing Dream Team. A lovely new addition this year was Gianmarco, the photographer, who, with great professionalism and discretion, managed to capture the most beautiful moments of our vacation.
