"Overall ok experience, most disappointing pictures did not match the property, property deco 10 years older than photos, no Lshaped sofa, no dressing table, despite a dressing table shown on pictutes (very limited mirrors, made drying hair Impossible in front of a mirror) very uncomfortable beds, overall abut tired and in need of a refresh "
"It was very fun and interesting to stay in a real castle complete with tiny hidden stairs and unique architecture. Unfortunately, the cleanliness and amenities were disappointing. Many lamps didn't work, the clothes washer didn't work, Wi-fi service was intermittent, and some windows wouldn't close due to vines growing into them. Add to that, the kitchen counters were grimy, the microwave was filthy, and we had to wash dishes prior to using them (dishes and cutlery were put away dirty)."
"Absolutely fantastic stay. West Plean is a beautiful property in a lovely rural location but only 10 minutes from Stirling City Centre. Our room was lovely, the bed was super comfortable, and we had everything we needed in the room, which was replenished each day. There was a lovely big lounge where we could sit and relax of an evening.
The breakfasts were superb - lots of choice. Beautifully prepared and presented, and very tasty.
Hannah, our host was very welcoming, and made sure we had all we needed at all times. I’d highly recommend this B&B. We will be returning, I have no doubt!"
"Location was nice, cooker had mismatched knobs, ignitor on cooker did not work so we had to eat out, no instructions on how the heating worked, only heated we had was in the lounge, there is no wifi on sight, a lot of holes in walls where stuff had been removed, when we arrived the bathroom floor was very wet, we run out of hot water the day before we left and no idea how to fix this issue, we also could not find any staff on site to help with these issues. "
"Everything was fantastic at our stay! The lication is very nicely placed by Stirling, and is a short drive to both Edinburgh and Glasgow, while still being quiet and serene. Highly recommend.
One piece of advice, do remember that this is a camp-like experience. Travelers should bring their own bedding, towels, shampoo/soap, etc. "
