"Stayed in the section behind the main road, not the beach side because that one is reserved to hotel members. I got invited to the presentation the second day we got there and I declined, the guy did not insist too much which was good. Here are the pros and cons: Pros: -Helpful and courteous staff, excellent service. -Soundproof room (stayed in room 4302), contrary to what some people report, I assume they stayed in the building directly on the main street. Cons: -The hotel is on the main road and it is VERY BUSY, so if you're there to relax 10% of the time forget about it, you won't be able to relax at all, even when on the pool inside, or on the beach side, the sound from the exhausts of trucks, cars, and motorcycle is horrible. They have placed Speed bumps on the street to slow down traffic for security, but that causes very loud exhaust sound on deceleration and acceleration. -NO BEACH. You will have access to the beach, everyone does, but this hotel has no beach whatsoever, no proper access to the beach, you have to go down a rocky path to get to the beach, and you need to find a solution to sit on the beach to enjoy it, they have no loungers. Forget the beach feature for this one. -Pools surface is always dirty, I dont know how they designed these pools, they look very nice and they vacuum every morning, but surface dirt stays, no grating or skimmer filtration."

"Ana from the start provided quick ongoing communication. We did not have electricity which was not her fault however generator back up was not very reliable. Highly suggest since this is a regular occurance that you provide candles/flash lights or suggest to your guest that they bring these itmes with them. House was very spacious meeting our groups needs; however villa needs to be better maintained. I would highly recommend a microwave."

"Our stay at Villa Coco Mar was absolutely exceptional. From the moment we booked, Dean was incredibly responsive and patient, answering what must have been a million questions as we planned our trip. His guidance and attention to detail made the entire process smooth and reassuring.Once we arrived, everything exceeded expectations. The villa itself is beautifully designed with a thoughtful layout that works perfectly for groups, and it’s clear that every detail has been carefully considered. Small touches like the sunscreen pumps and the backup generator (which made weather related power interruptions invisible) show just how much effort has gone into making guests comfortable.Juan did a fantastic job coordinating everything onsite and ensuring our stay was seamless. Anything we needed was handled quickly and effortlessly. He even arranged for an onsite doctor visit, helped coordinate cigars, and organized a beautiful birthday cake for the girls in our group.The staff were incredible. The food throughout our stay was phenomenal, and Marleni kept us supplied with fantastic drinks all week. She was always so warm and thoughtful, and the entire team seemed to be one step ahead of us at all times.It truly felt like we didn’t have to think about a thing, everything was taken care of. Villa Coco Mar delivered an unforgettable experience for our group, and we couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay.We look forward to returning!"

"The room was very nice and had everything we needed. Full size fridge, stove, utensils. It was very clean and comfortable. The wifi was great although it didn’t extend outside of our room. Ocean view was nice. Staff was very friendly and helpful, not perfect English but definitely enough to get by. "

"All of the above are true. The staff is amazing, especially Eduardo, the coffee guy. He deserves a raise. My room was clean, modern and bright. Loved the tall ceilings and big balcony. The resort is nice and intimate. I would recommend this resort to my friends."

"We spent a terrific couple of weeks in this condo. It is as advertised steps to the beach, nice pool though a little chilly, accommodations as advertised, very responsive owners and on-site manager. We loved the fruit/vegetable guy who comes Mon/Thur mornings with fresh produce and eggs off the back of his truck. On site gate and grounds security keep things safe. Residents very friendly. Make sure you download the Komida app for all kinds of food deliveries - better than Door Dash! Super clean and comfortable. Quiet. Everything close, but not on the crazy busy strip. "We had a large group of 18. The rooms were all cleaned each day. We had one a/c unit go out and a new one was installed that day. The pool and hot tub were cleaned each day as well. We use the all inclusive plan and this works great for a large group. The dinners were excellent and staff were great. The all inclusive drinks were a definite plus. The ocean was rough for three days, but then we got some nice calm days to enjoy the surf. Beach walks were very nice. Our host Nina made sure we had everything we needed from transportation, golf, massages and dinner reservations. Overall our group had a fantastic time."
