"Great overall just one really inconvenient thing was that for our 3 night stay we had to change room every single day which was a hassle and forced us to be at the property to do the moving every day at 1pm when we could have been at the beach or in town. "

"Staying at Hacienda Barrigona was like a dream. The property is beautiful and well tended. The house was spacious, clean and comfortable. The beach looked like a postcard. The meals were delicious and prepared with great care. But it's the people that make Hacienda Barrigona so special. Lyna and the whole staff were kind, attentive, friendly and helpful. "

"Hung up in unbelievable traffic in Santa Cruz, I was not able to check into the hotel until 7 AM the next day when they reopened. So I don't have the overnight experience one expects.
That said, the room was very clean, the shower had good hot water, and I did get a morning nap on the bed. Fort7nately, it is off the road a bit. But noise carries and young Costa Ricans love their motorcycles. So if you are super noise sensitive that might bother you, but the traffic is really light on that...
