5 star experience! We went to Barcelo Maya Beach last year and felt that the Iberostar resort was better in almost every aspect! The staff was great. Tomas with the entertainment staff was fantastic! Our son (8) looked forward to seeing him each day. The food was great. Our room was great. We would definitely return to this resort in the future!

Property was pretty clean for being a busy resort. Food choices were decent although the few restaurants onsite that require reservations, definitely need to make in advance before you arrive. From the time you arrive through the gates until you leave, you're taken care of. All you have to do is relax and have fun. Lots of activities everyday. So many pools to keep cool. The beaches are great! The staff is very friendly. There's all types of food, you can eat your favorites for every meal. The rooms are comfortable, cleaned everyday and great air conditioning. I can't wait to return, i miss it already!

Beautiful property…the Maya Suites were very nice and recently updated. The food was very good as a whole. The service was also mostly very good. The beach was not very nice during our stay due to the high levels of sargassum…but the pools were great!
