What you see is what you get! Surely not a premium-experience. But you get a lake-view, funny neighbors and a warm queen bed for 88$ a night! The owner was super kind and helpful!

This lodge was in the middle of a bad neighborhood, next to a factory, with very few restaurants. The room was extremely overpriced, with no amenities such as alarm click, soap, extra towels, etc. We had a room with king size bed and was charged an extra charge of $52.00 for the bed, which was not disclosed in description of this place, because of its size. The bed post was cracked, walls cracked, door covered by a cloth. We were charged a total of $380 for a dump with a smelley heater, raggerty bedspread with holes in it and no breakfast included. We should be offered some kind of refund.

We do not have any hidden fees, we also do not charge any additional amounts. We are unaware of the 52 bed charge you have mentioned. Each room is provided with 2-4 sets of towels along with soap and shampoo for your use. Any additional items needed can be requested at front desk free of charge. We do have McDonalds next door along with 3 other restaurants within walking distance. We apologize for any inconvenience. If you were not satisfied with the room provided you could of requested a change or may cancel your room with no fees (within a timely manner). We apologize for any inconvenience this may have caused.

It is a basic low-cost motel. Our queen size bed felt more like a full size. It was ok but not a place I would stay if I was staying more than one night.

Pleasant stay
Room was clean. Young man at check in desk was very friendly. Would stay there again if in area. Only negative was there only 2 pillows for my husband & I and they were flat. Would have liked another.

pictures really do not show property. offered lake view room, didn't mention it was 2nd floor, had person with bad back to walk stairs. Got to room no heat, had to wait for desk person to call manager in (almost 1 hour from check in) to show how to use and we had to adjust hourly. room was extra small 12 X 12. 2 very thin pillows on bed, needless to say we left at 3:30 am to drive 6 hours to home.

This is a good comfortable hotel. It is on the edge of the lake; it is comfortable and clean and priced for the business traveler. It is my go to place in the Champlain Valley.

Great views comfortable room and plus kitchen with pots pans, dishes and utensils so you can cook your meal if you want or just a snack good size refrigerator as well they thought of everything including the kitchen sink will definitely stay there again

It’s hard to believe that you pay so much for a filthy room. I almost left but was tired. Took a shower with flip flops on. Went to bed on top of covers. Looks like they rent most rooms eeekly to transient people.

Loved it!
Golden Gate Lodging was excellent! Some of the highlights were: access to beach, a kitchenette (we cooked breakfast and had it at the beach), helpful and friendly front desk, clean space, big bed. Very cute place.10/10 would recommend.

Great location. Hotel not well cared for, smelled bad when entered room. Bathroom so small no place to put things and toilet paper rubbed against your leg. The bathtub slippery when you stepped into it. The bed was so badly used you automatically roll to the middle. Large stains in carpet.

The gentleman who checked us in was very nice! He was the same that checked us out. Great location! The beach is cute. The room was a little outdated and looked a bit dirty, but we slept well! No major issues, cute town!

It could be nice if someone took care of the hotel. It has a nice little private beach but the hotel is falling apart. Outside of our room I saw that the window frame was coming off and inside the water wouldn't shut off in the bathroom (sink & tub). It was hard to sleep hearing constant running of water. One bedside lamp didn't work and the faucet in the kitchen sink only had hot water.
