"2nd time we stayed here. Great house and location. The dock outside the door is a huge draw. Unfortunately, the tides weren't in our favor and could not get the boat in or out for the majority of the day (11a - 4p) for 5 days due to low tide. Boat sat in the mud at the dock for hours."

"On and off 5 of us stayed for 10 days. Place was clean and cozy, and the owner was very accommodating. We had a good time and would definitely rent here again."

"On the plus sides: The property is fun and ecclectic. I would say not for small children as there are wooden and woven giraffes, lamas, masks etc. that would likely attract attention Good location, easy walk to restaurants. Fells safe. Clean. Plenty of hot water and good pressure. Plenty of books and games. Easy parking. Erin is very responsive.Negatives: mattress a bit soft but that's personal preference. A bit dark. I *believe * windows are covered with film [makes sence, floor level] ...

"Everything about our visit to Merriewood Retreat was perfect! Lovely inside and out and hosts with the most! The garden is blossoming in many colors, the inside space (though hard to go in— it being so nice outside) had everything one could ask for including a super comfy bed, fully functional kitchen space and large, beautiful shower. "We were spending a long weekend celebrating graduation at Berkeley, and this home was the perfect location for commuting to Berkeley, dinners in Walnut Creek, and a day trip to Napa. Accessing the home was easy, and it is nicely decorated and very clean! Bathrooms were very nice, which is always key. Bonus is that there is a great coffee shop a short walk away!"
