Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage is an orphanage, nursery and captive breeding ground for wild Asian elephants located at Pinnawala village, 13 km (8.1 mi) northeast of Kegalle town in Sabaragamuwa Province of Sri Lanka. Pinnawala is notable for having the largest herd of captive elephants in the world. Yup! You read that correctly! You will find a fascinating world of stationery inside, along some truly creative ideas. Bathing time..
A cool village situated in the vicinity of the newly established Pinnawala Open Air Zoo. It is still under construction. Therefore, not highly recommended to visit. Still there are few amazing sights to see around and there are quite a few of Leopards in the park.

Very large room. Comfortable beds and clean bathroom. Staff are very helpful. We watch elephants very closely from the hotel buffet area.
