Easter weekend retreat
Great place for families with kids, teenagers and adults!! Multiple areas to escape to. We have stayed at many VRBOs and this Kitchen was by far the best stocked! Overall a great place.

Beautiful cabin! Everything we needed for our family getaway!
Perfect place to bring our family, including our nine grandchildren aged 10 and under! There was something for everyone to do. Loved having several large bedrooms with numerous beds, and the luxury 4.5 bathrooms was nice! Great location…not too far from Payson yet high enough to play in snow. Everyone had a great time! Beautiful cabin and great host! Communication was quick and helpful. Would definitely go back again!

Winter Family Vacation
Everything went well as far as check-in, cleanliness, stocked pantry, everything you may need in a kitchen!! Host was amazing and always there for questions. The house was awesome for teenagers, little ones, adults. Our trip was fun and housing was amazing!! Will be staying here again for sure.

Cabin home
This cabin is even bigger than was listed on VRBO. The upstairs has three bedrooms, one which has three queen beds, and the other has an en suite. The third is a twin bed, but has a pop-up bed under it. The basement is a huge family room with 2 couches and a big mattress type footstool. My granddaughters, 18 and 21 slept on that comfortably. It has a closet full of games and a large TV with a fireplace. The main living room was Comfortable with three couches and a chair and a Pac-Man game and a desk. Extremely comfortable with the gas fireplace and a great room concept joining the dining room and the large kitchen. I was thrilled with the property and the attached garage/game room with a pool table and an air hockey game. It also had an extra refrigerator which helped with our large family of 15. We were never cramped and extremely comfortable. The owner is very quick to respond to communication. If the Internet is a must, you will be disappointed as it is very sketchy. I plan on returning with my friends and another trip with my family. Five stars all the way.

Terrible Owner/Manager
The place was awesome we had a great time, however we were told. The cameras were only on the outside of the home and were only viewed when no one was there to ensure no one vandalized the property. I received multiple texts and calls from the Owner/Manager the whole time and even threatened me about having Vrbo collect if I don’t contact them. We’re on vacation I’m not carrying my phone with me and really had no service up there anyway. My wife and I both thought it was kinda creepy they were sitting there watching us through the cameras. It made us uncomfortable to the point we thought they had hidden cameras in the house. Besides the phone calls and threatening texts. It was a pretty good time. We left the house way cleaner than how it was when we got it. Make sure you buy starter fluid for the wood heater in the game room or you’ll never get the fire started. The store is a good 25 minutes back.

In response to the review left from the guest with Reservation ID #HA-SSFJFP: We are happy that all who stay at our awesome Private Mountain True Log Cabin Retreat love their stay! However, in order to maintain the cabin in top condition and to keep pricing as low as possible, we have exterior cameras to verify the number of guests arriving for each stay and to record any activity that would be against the terms of the lease. We absolutely do not have interior cameras nor have time to watch guests outside during their stay. We may watch to confirm the arrival time, see that the number of guests looks reasonable, and make sure they get in okay. We also send a quick check in message right before each stay to remind them of pertinent details, the access code, and to open easy text messaging communication for the guests if they have any questions. In this case, the guests signed the lease for 7-guests, but contrary to the agreement 21-guest + 1 pet showed up. (Pets must be prior approved and it is not unusual to adjust for a few late added guests, but 14 more is excessive). Furthermore, the guests ignored our inquiries until a demand notice was required to be sent to protect our interests and get VRBO to help collect unpaid funds that are due. On another note, the cabin is meticulously cleaned by professionals after every stay and the property was not nor ever is left as good or better than it is found. We love sharing our cabin retreat with all guests that can abide by the instructions provided and the agreement they sign. Sincerely, Jeanay Eagles Haven

We had a lovely weekend. The cabin is so homey and comfortable. Played a few games of pool and spent time on the arcade with Ms. PacMan and Gallatian. The welcome table information was really helpful. If you like craft beer, try THAT Brewery & Pub and get a sampler - great price. The food and service is good too. We were there for a wedding and the cabin was only 1 mile away from the venue. Hiking was nearby and the trails are well groomed. Would definitely stay here again.

Fantastic stay
Our family really enjoyed our stay. The house was very spacious, clean and felt very welcoming. There were plenty of beds and were very comfortable. We enjoyed eating outside on the porch and watching the elk, or spending time together in the family room. All the family said they loved staying here and would definitely stay here again. Thanks for a wonderful place to stay.

Great time in the mountains!
The house is incredible, tons of space with everything you need for a great vacation. We sat on the nice porch in the cool air. There is plenty of things to do for all ages. The house is perfect for kids as well as adults. Will surely stay at Eagle Haven again!

Lots of dishes and small kitchen appliances. Lots of room. Upgraded kitchen. Rustic style cabin. Game room fun. 2 refrigerators was nice for stocking. Host was a great communicator. We are group of 7 guys. Had to be careful of noise due to 10pm noise rule. Larger group might be a challenge. Otherwise great.

Overall I was disappointed ….. Property not as clean as it could have been, The property said it had A/C, but it only had a portable A/C unit in living room/kitchen area, trying to get into the cabin upon arrival was disappointing since we had a 2 month old baby with us and had to wait outside for 2 hours for property manager to come let us in…. Property management did give us an extra 2 hours for check out, but really wasn’t satisfied overall with the whole experience.

So close to the valley yet cool!
I really like strawberry its so close to the east valley. This is a beautiful property. Lots of extra tables and chairs for our use was great. The deck with the picnic table, holds also an additional 6ft table, nice yard for sitting out and enjoying the evenings, Kitchen and pantry really well stocked, I brought some pots and pans for cooking and needed none, they had everyhing on-site, 2 refrigerators, nice appliances, lots of towels, sheets, also 5 bathrooms very nice with a large group, good parking, responsive owner with questions and details, Also no cleaning fee added on to stay. We had a wonderful time.

Elk came to greet us.

We really enjoyed our stay at Eagles Haven. The cabin was very spacious and plenty of stuff to keep our kids busy. We didn’t spend too much time in game room since it was chilly. We hope to be back next summer. The communication was great as well!

We had a great time, although there was some issues with the check in process, but the host was able to resolve it quickly even though there were some minor inconveniences during our stay we still made the best of it and enjoyed our time. The bed was really comfy and we had fun playing Pac-Man as well as pool!

Unaware to us, the software we used (Smart Things) to sync the door code turned off the third party module (Rental Lock Automater) with no warning whatsoever. Better in person than expected!!
Friends giving weekend was a success!! I had searched for awhile to find something spacious and comfortable for 7 adults and this was more than we could ask for! The property is spacious overall. The game room is separate from the house which was wonderful for those who wanted to play pool/air hockey yet not disturb those who wanted quite time. The Kitchen and walk in pantry was overly stocked with everything one needs, we really didn't need to bring so much from home. There's even 3 cabinets of spices and a spice rack! The decks are amazing for those beautiful chilly/snowy morning for that cup of coffee or tea and enjoy the beauty that this place provides naturally. We didn't spend much time in the basement since we're a more outdoorsy group, it's absolutely cozy and gives those space with another option to explore. Bedrooms are spacious and so many bathrooms, these are better in person. The Host Jeanay, had wonderful communication before and during our stay! She made this whole process smooth when when I had trouble with Vrbo payments and we look forward to doing a trip like this more often!

Great and beautiful place

I wish we had more time
We had a group of 7 adults that stayed to attend a wedding. The property had so much to offer and so much space to spread out it was easy to not be on top of each other and the game room was a great place to hangout and goof off. We found in our down time we spent much of it on the back porch enjoying the rain and listening to the sounds of nature, it was a nice way to decompress and enjoy some much needed laughter and family time. Thank you for allowing us to spend time in this beautiful location we’d love to do it again.

Family celebration
Our family gathered to celebrate a family birthday and this property provided the space we needed. We had a great time sitting on the porch enjoying each other's company or sitting around the kitchen table. There's plenty of room for a large party to spread out and the kitchen is extremely well stocked. Elk sightings were a plus for all of us!

Great summer get away for the family
We enjoyed all of the activities the property had to offer. The location was great, it was very easy to get to anywhere we wanted to go - restaurants, hiking spots, etc. We also enjoyed sitting on the porch swing watching the afternoon rain storms.

This was our second time staying here the fist time we visited was in May and we just knew it was the perfect place to spend Christmas. Its a large clean cabin with plenty room considering were a large group of 18. Kitchen is well stocked in case you might forget something, brand new pots/pans. We all enjoyed our stay.

Cabin in the woods
Our group of adult friends had a great time at the cabin. We enjoyed walking around the quiet neighborhood. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, etc.; however, most of the pots/pans were not in great condition. The multiple bedrooms/bathrooms were perfect for our group. The 11 page contract was a surprise after booking the cabin, but the owner was great to communicate with regarding any concerns.

Cozy Cabin
We had a very enjoyable stay at the log cabin. The Thanksgiving we had there felt like an old fashion Thanksgiving at moms. The kitchen was stocked with everything we needed to prepare our Thanksgiving meal. Janae is very kind. So cool to see a true log cabin.

This cabin has it all! Our group of 12 had the best time. The cabin is clean, spacious, and the game room was perfect. The bonus of baby gates and supplies was a huge bonus for our group. Less to pack is always nice! Would definitely stay again

For a group of 8 guys wanting to be up in the woods but with all of the comforts of home, this hit the spot. Initially it took a little time to fumble around for all the light switches in each room, as they weren't all in the place you'd think, but the eccentricities of the place made it more homey. TVs with Netflix, tons of room and beds, I think we only time we left was to get dinner at the nearby town of Strawberry. Plenty of dishes to feed a troupe of guys with home cooking, and a fairly decent dishwasher so we didn't have to scrub them too much. My friends are already asking when we're coming back. Oh, and hope you like red/black plaid...because it's everywhere. Added to the "we're in a lumberjack camp" vibe.
