IDIOTS!

Are you for real! I book this hotel with hotels.com and when we arrived via taxi and long tail boat the place had been closed for more than a year. The boat left and we was stranded on this island for over 2 hot hours without water.. Just a big bloody THANK YOU! hotels.com for ruining our perfect 3 day romantic break. WELL DONE

Lon İsland İst eşine wunderschöne insel. Wenn Sie Ruhe haben wollen es ist genau richtig. ABER, sie müssen damit rechnen,dass sie Nachmittag nicht schwimmen können. Weil, Meeres Wasser geht zurück. Man kann nicht schwimmen. Erst Nächste Tag in der Früh sieht Meer normal aus. (Wenn sie Glück haben😉)

Lacking the finish expected

Despite cleanliness issues a comfortable though basic stay, expect 50% of the advertised facilities. The food was a mostly good but didn't not match the price associated and most notably there is no swimming beach at this resort.

Brilliant weekend away from Phuket

Brilliant service from the team here! Made the most memorable weekend for my daughter and grandchildren to celebrate my birthday! The team did everything they could to make our stay fantastic. Fabulous food, great drinks and attentive service. They even organised a birthday cake and gift which was such a delightful surprise. Family friendly

Room for improvement

We booked and paid for 6 nights but we only stayed for 3, which was rather disappointing as we paid 5 star price. The rooms are very tired, they turned the power off daily between 8am and 5pm, we had no running water during the day, including for toilet and if you scored hot water at night that was a bonus. The coconut trees were laiden with old coconuts which naturally fall and they are all along the paths, very scary. The pool had green slime all over the bottom, so no pool swimming for us. The concept is great, the beach is lovely, the island is gorgeous, the food was delicious. The staff try hard and were really lovely. This destination has so much potential, the owners just need to spend a few dollars. They could and should be delivering the best unique experience in Phuket. I would recommend the experience but 2 nights max until they update.

Peaceful beachfront paradise

Amazing tropical beachfront hotel only a short boat trip from a town on the mainland. I spent three days enjoying the island. I saw hermit crabs, hornbills, monitor lizards, and many other kinds of wildlife. There are about 50 local people living on the island, and they seemed very friendly when I walked through the small village. There is a path through the rainforest which is nice to walk round and you can see many kinds of wildlife. The food from the hotel was a little more expensive than on the mainland (250-300 bhat for a curry and rice) but very very good indeed. They have beachfront cabins with open bathrooms, so you can expect to see a few insects, but none came into the room itself, which had air conditioning and was quite comfortable. They also have more modern rooms available with covered bathrooms. The island is very quiet and peaceful, so if you enjoy being with nature then it is an excellent choice.

We love it❤️

We booked 4 nights and ended up staying here 9 nights. Kind and serviceminded staff. They washed our clothes and gave us free coconuts. Its easy to go to tha mainland 15 min by boat and they let us decide which time to get picked up again. There are lots of animals here. The electricity is off between 11-16(17). Bathroom outdoor which we liked. We loved it here❤️

Ruhiges Resort im Paradies

Wir waren für sechs Nächte auf Koh Lone und hatten einen Beachfront Bungalow mit einem wunderschönen Ausblick direkt aufs Meer. Man muß sich zwar bewusst sein, dass aufgrund der Gezeiten, das schwimmen nicht immer möglich ist. Dafür gibt es aber einen Pool. Den wir, zumindest wenn wir dort waren, für uns allein hatten. Wer auf dieser Insel einen Supermarkt oder andere Geschäfte erwartet, wird leider enttäuscht. Das einkaufen ist am Chalong Pier möglich. Dort gibt es diverse Supermärkte und Bars. Vom Hotel aus gibt es einen kostenlosen Shuttle. Ca. dreimal täglich fährt das Longtailboot von Baan Mai an den Pier und zurück. Der Bungalow hat alles, was man braucht. Die Einrichtung ist nicht mehr die Neuste, erfüllt jedoch seinen Zweck. An das Außenbad muss man sich gewöhnen, da einem Bienen, Ameisen und Frösche begegnen können ;-) Dennoch ein echtes Erlebnis. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Die Atmosphäre war sehr familiär und wir haben uns dort sehr wohlgefühlt. Das Frühstück war gut. Zum Essen bietet sich auf jeden Fall das Restaurant an. Wir haben einiges probiert. Die Curry´s sind fantastisch! Preise sind zwar etwas höher, dennoch lohnt es sich! Wir empfehlen das Resort auf jeden Fall weiter, für alle die Ruhe und weg vom Massentourismus wollen! Danke für die schöne Zeit.

Schöne Insel mit Schlechter Anlage

Wir haben die Reise voller Erwartungen angetreten. Und am ersten Tag war alles noch sehr schön. Das Essen hat uns leider überhaupt nicht geschmeckt, so dass wir uns tatsächlich mit Instant-Nudeln eingedeckt haben, die wir dank des Wasserkochers den wir wenigstens noch hatten, zubereiten konnten. Der Strom ist an fast jedem Tag für 1 bis 2 Stunden ausgefallen. die Anbindung an das "Festland" ist sehr schlecht und unflexibel. Das bedeutet, dass man abends nach 17 uhr nur noch gegen eine Gebühr von knapp 15€ pro Person zurück auf die Insel kommt. Und sonst fährt der Bootstransfer auch nur 3 mal am Tag. Das Meer ist nicht zum schwimmen geeignet und der Strand ist, wenn man es nett ausdrücken will, grobkörnig. Die Anlage ist eigentlich nett und mit etwas mehr liebe könnte man daraus wirklich etwas machen. Was wir so schade fanden ist dass das alles der eigentlich so schönen Insel nicht gerecht wird. die Sauberkeit war leider auch nicht wirklich gegeben.

Romantik und Natur pur.

Ein Paradies im Paradies. Es ist eine abgelegene und isolierte Insel, ideal zum Ausruhen und entspannen. Perfekt für Honeymoon und andere Paare. Rustikale Bungalows sowie moderne Zimmer. Sehr freundliches Personal, erfüllt alle Wünsche. Die Insel ist nur mit einem Longtailboot erreichbar, bei Flut vom Boot ins flache Wasser, was aber Spaß macht. Echtes Inselleben von 6 bis 23 Uhr. Watch out for the coconuts!

Room on the beach.

Felt it was an amazing stay. Pull up to the beach on a small boat, unload in the sand and walk 30 feet into the hotel. Our room was right on the water made for a beautiful sunset. Only negative was the AC didn’t work, but the location far surpassed no AC.

Great hotel, very remote

We really enjoyed this hotel, we originally picked it for the remoteness and the ability to relax on a cool island away from some of the major touristy locations. We arrived, the grounds are beautiful, the staff is great and the food is amazing. Drinks were a little pricy so beware - grab a bottle (or two) of something you'd like to drink before catching the boat over, it's worth the savings. The island is also located close to the mainland as well as another smaller island you can take the hotel boat to during the day, DO NOT ATTEMPT KAYAK. The staff speaks english but it's broken, we attempted to kayak out one day and we weren't told to wear life vests or given any indication as to where to go/not to go, be extremely careful in these waters. The current is very strong. Overall, we had a great time, the only downside that is out of the hotels control were the other hotel guests kids. Came to the island to relax and have a moment of peace and there were toddlers running around, crying and acting up almost 99% of the time.

Het baan Mai hotel is ons buitengewoon goed bevallen. De locatie is werkelijk een droom. Helemaal wanneer je de straten van Patong hebt gezien is dit hotel een verademing. Mooie comfortabele bugalow en prima zwembad. Met name voor de rustzoeker is dit dé locatie.

静かな環境です。 街の対岸にある島です。 喧騒を離れて、 海の風、山の風が心地よいです。 海は遠浅で子供にも安全です。人口砂を敷いていない様なので、ビーチシューズがあるば快適でしょう。 可愛いネコがいます。

Unforgettable trip

The staff made my entire stay so so homely and enjoyable. Thankful to Jackie’s assistance over the phones with the cab drivers when we arrived to facilitate the boat transfer. Both the front counter/kitchen staff and the boatmen treated us like family and made our trip so unforgettable. Thank you!!

Hotelli oli upea mutta siellä oli ulkovessa ja ovi ei mennyt lukkoon. Hotellilla sähköt laitettiin päälle vasta iltapäivällä. Huoneissa ei toiminut Wi-Fi yhteys. Hotellia piti mukava hymyilevä thaimaalainen nainen, joka oli auttavainen.

Afslappende ophold

Utroligt afslappende sted. Ingen larm. Kun naturens lyde. Man skal have lidt tålmodighed når maden laves det kommer ikke lige ind på en gang. Vi havde kun booket en nat men ender med at tage 3 nætter. Det er ikke den bedste badestrand. Men et par badesko gør underværker. Alt i alt så havde vi nogle dejlige dage.

We arrived late but the hotel staff really took care of us. Test the phone number before you leave. The island is for a family or people wanting a more relaxing break.

Beautiful location, quiet, very Nice staff

We were the only geest but very well taken care of. So close to Phuket bij longtail but a very quiet islandwrong telephone nummer and emailadress given by expedia!

Good for a short stay

Good for a short stay, delay in pick up from pier, had to wait for more than 1 hour, basic facilities, very quiet, just rocky beach, just kayaking available, good thai food, staff (co-owner) not service minded, small western breakfast, no thai breakfast.
