perfect for 1st time in arizone

we found the ultimate place for exploring the area. we were able to walk to carefree, and base camp for a couple road trips to Sedona , old Scottsdale and Goldfield ghost town (all worth the drive). Lots of good restaurants in Cave creek. Try Tonto's at the golf course.

Best Little Casita

I cannot say enough good things about this place and Katherine as a host! You can tell that she puts a lot of thought and effort into making this place feel so welcoming and making guests feel at home. I stayed here while I was on a trip for work and it really felt like a nice little escape. The casita is very private and has all the basic amenities you could want! Not to mention the pool and hot-tub are lovely and very well maintained. Thank you Katherine for being such a kind and welcoming host!!

Beautiful and eclectic property

The property is amazing with fantastic views. The pool and hot tub are outstanding. The Casita is very nice and has everything you need. Katherine is very accommodating as a host and provided all sorts of nice touches like a bottle of wine in the fridge along with other beverages. I would definitely stay there again.

We stayed in the casita the week we dropped off our son at ASU. We absolutely love the Carefree and Cave Creek area and this was right in the heart on Black Mountain. The views are awesome and the pool was as well! Catherine is very friendly and accommodating!!

Long weekend getaway

Was impressed with the setup the moment I stepped on the property. The pool setup is amazing and the multilevel options provide even better views than exist at pool level. Perfect spot for one person or a couple. Walking distance to all things Cave Creek - particularly taking the back way to Buffalo Chip!

Had to stay longer!

The check in and checkout were so simple - communication was easy and the host was incredibly accommodating and responsive! The property itself is stunning and conveniently located for everything we had on our agenda - relaxing (do not skip the hot tub), off roading, hiking and eating good food! We loved it so much we extended our stay 3 days!! So many little touches - welcome basket, coffee and creamer, comfortable bed! Absolutely will be back!

Nice location

The location is great and the casita is very private and well appointed. The patio area was very private and relaxing. However the pool/hot tub being private is a little misleading since it is right outside the hosts home, which for us was a little awkward. WiFi was great in the living room but weak most other places which for work was a little frustrating. The door lock was unpredictable but luckily the neighborhood is safe so we left the patio slider unlocked so we could get in.

Great location and scenery near our conference. Did not have time to take advantage of the other amenities available onsite. The bed could use a new mattress, it was very squishy and caving in toward the center. Owner is responsive and provided little treats in the casita as well. The property has the potential to become a very popular destination stay with some more updates.

Amazing place in Carefree

Wow!! What an amazing property! Nestled in the stones and rocks, this place is an architectural delight. The whole neighborhood is actually… The views are epic, the interior and exterior design capture the Arizona spirit, and the quirky history of the house furthers it’s intrigue. This place feels alive and integrates with its natural surroundings in a very pleasant and surprising way. Kat is an awesome host and I HIGHLY RECOMMEND staying here if you’re in the area. Nice spot, great location, fun yacht

Arrival and check in were simple. The casita had everything we needed. It is a little small but quaint, We were mostly gone golfing so mainly there for coffee and sleep. There are great views from the patio. We did do the yacht cruise on Lake Pleasant with Katherine and that was really fun with beautiful scenery. The boat is plenty big. We brought 2 other couples and had enough room. Katherine was a good captain and host. She had great background stories. Highly recommended. If you're looking for a comfortable economic stay, this is it. The main house has a laundry, pool and hottub to use and lots of neat art there.
