5/5 Excellent
"The room was small but fine for a single traveller, nice view, balcony, very comfortable bed and excellent value. I will ge staying again."
"Absolutely amazing staff. I stayed with my toddler and the staff couldn’t have done anymore. Barry on reception was incredible and made us feel so welcome and my son couldn’t get downstairs quick enough to see him. James was also extremely helpful and again a hit with a very active toddler. Will definitely be staying again!!"

"We had a great few days stay - staff were very kind and helpful- treated us to a free birthday drink and gave great advice about the local area and things to do.
We had the most amazing breakfast both days- a huge variety of options and all delicious. Would recommend a stay. "

"Fantastic stay for a party of 10. The hotel staff went above and beyond to accommodate our request of decorating a friends room for her birthday. The staff gave advice on where to lunch that was dog friendly and were always happy to help at all times. "

"We’ve stayed at the Old Ship several times, as it tends to be the best value for money. We love the central sea front location (and are prepared to put up with a bit of city noise… the complimentary ear plugs are a nice touch), sea views are well worth paying a bit extra for, and we even enjoy the 100 year old lift …. on the occasional time it arrives before we opt for the stairs instead (it is described optimistically as ‘a bit slow’). Very pleasant staff too. Looking forward to our next stay. "
