"Casa l'Olivo" in the hills of Lucca with a pool, 30 minutes from the beach in Viareggio

"Casa l'Olivo" is one of two houses on the Campodori Estate, nestled among olive trees in the beautiful hills of Lucca, a 30-minute drive from the beaches of Versilia. A 5-room house, 117 m² spread over two levels. Tastefully furnished: living room with a fireplace (decorative only), satellite TV, hi-fi system, and DVD player. Dining room. Patio with a dining table. Two bedrooms with double beds, one bedroom with two single beds, two full bathrooms, and air conditioning. Large panoramic pool (12 x 6 m, depth 90–200 cm), with a saltwater electrolysis sanitisation system. The pool is shared with guests from the estate’s other house and is open seasonally. The house is located within a large country estate (4 ha) at 200 metres above sea level, featuring a terraced garden and unfenced lawns. Access to the estate is via a private road (800 metres), part of which is unpaved. Private parking is available within the gated property.
The house is ideal for stays with family and friends, and for those seeking relaxation in a green setting. It serves as an ideal base for visiting Tuscany’s art cities and the Cinque Terre (1.5 hours); Lucca (20 min.), Florence (1.15 hours), Siena (2 hours), Pisa (45 min.), and the beaches of Versilia (30 min.).
Viareggio (30 min.) is located on the coast, with beautiful beaches, beach clubs, restaurants, and elegant shops. South of Viareggio are the unspoiled, public beaches of the Migliarino and San Rossore Nature Park, reachable by car in about 35 minutes. Continuing north for a few kilometres, you’ll pass other famous towns in Versilia, eventually reaching the elegant and exclusive Forte dei Marmi (45 min.). Inland lies the charming town of Pietrasanta (35 min.), a destination for sculptors and artists from around the world: in the summer, it hosts major art exhibitions and concerts.
Behind you lie the Apuan Alps with the quarries of white marble beloved by Michelangelo, offering opportunities for hikes up to 2,000 metres. In the summer, there are many musical events. Particularly well-known are the Puccini Festival in July and August in Torre del Lago and the Summer Fest in Lucca in July. But throughout the summer, there are many classical, jazz, and pop concerts in the medieval squares and villas of Lucca and Pietrasanta, featuring internationally renowned artists.
The nearest supermarket is 2 km away, as are several restaurants, bakeries, and supermarkets. Camaiore, a historic town famous for its gourmet shops and wine bars, is 20 minutes away. There, you can visit wineries, taste, and purchase wines and olive oils directly from the producers.
