Welcome to our charming rural retreat, where we love hosting guests and making every stay extra special - plus we're only 7 minutes to downtown Stratford and 17mins from St. Mary's!

Many years ago this is the site of the Harmony Inn - a once thriving Mill town. Today our fully renovated 1200 sq ft heritage cottage is the perfect choice for your group meetup or theatre stay.

Location: Short drive to downtown Stratford's vibrant attractions as well as St. Mary's event venue and golf courses - and Wildwood is just 12mins away.

Farm Stand: Our local Farmer has a little year round stand with Beef, eggs and seasonal veggies - just 2 houses over!

Coffee/Tea Bar: Local coffee, teas, and equipment for a perfect morning start.

Side Deck and Patio: Features a propane fire table, seating, dining table for 8, and BBQ.

Back Porch: Once the original front porch and entrance now a covered area with seating.

Bedrooms: Cozy linens, multiple pillows, full-length mirrors, and USB charging ports. Large bedroom has 2 KING beds and smaller room 1 QUEEN bed. There is also a pop-up Queen sofa bed for groups over 6 guests.

Bathrooms: Main floor powder room and full bath with complimentary soaps and hair dryer, straightener, iron, steamer etc.

Entertainment: Board games, free high-speed WiFi, and 2 smart TVs with Roku.

Outdoor Games: Various lawn games like croquet, bocce, and a fire pit with local firewood.

Onsite Laundry: Convenient main floor washing machine and dryer for longer stays.

Support for Special Occasions: Options for wine, flowers, or local treats to celebrate milestones - message me to see how we can help.

Feel free to ask any questions about your stay!

Guests have full access to the Cottage minus the basement and upstairs closet which are dedicated to our cleaning staff and therefore locked. We do provide some basic cleaning supplies for guests should the need arise.

Outside guests have full access to the garden areas surrounding the Cottage and sitting areas. The fire pit on the other side of the fence can also be used by guests, just let us know if you’re interested so we can have local wood set aside for you. The back garden area and garage/barn on the property are reserved for the owner’s use when guests are not visiting.

We live nearby so let us know if there is anything you need, we are happy to help.

Our cottage is located at a main crossroad in a tiny farm community. The downtown Stratford restaurants, shops and smaller theatres are only a 7 minute drive away. There is also a small nature conservation area with walking trail only 500 feet from our home.

There is a large parking area for up to 5 vehicles with room to turn around.

We are in one of Stratford’s tiny farm communities so there is sometimes farm equipment, tractors and some road traffic at certain times of the day. We have a large parking area that guests can turn around in rather than backing out onto the roadway for everyone’s safety.

    AMAZING place to stay!

    This property is clean, organized and extremely comfortable, as well as beautifully decorated. This was our 2nd time here and we loved it again. Breakfast being included is a huge bonus. Bedding & beds were so comfortable that we didn't want to get up! Location is fantastic, so close to Stratford. The hosts are very attentive. We're hoping to book again for next winter. LOVE THIS PLACE!

    Great place!

    We enjoyed our stay very much. There was a lot to do in the house when we weren’t out in Stratford. The location is very convenient. Appreciated the stocked kitchen with everything we needed including some basic pantry items. Highly recommend and would stay here again if we are in the area again in the future.

    Nice modern cottage with a rustic feel.

    This was a wonderful cottage. Very clean and welcoming. Location was a straight shot to downtown. Only drawback is the intersection it’s located on was quite busy.

    Me and my two friends really enjoyed our stay! Clean, modern house, had a great vibe. Kitchen had everything you need, which was great as me and my friends like to cook. Carly was super kind. Loved our stay.

    a womderful weekend on outskirts of Stratford

    our family truly enjoyed this lovely country Home. it was very clean , and welcoming with a basket of goodies the kitchen was very well equipped to Prepare family meals. we loved the fire table on the back porch. highly recommend this home !!!

    Charming, Cozy and Welcoming

    Cottage and property are absolutely delightful. The house is tastefully decorated, very clean and welcoming. Everything was thought of, fully stocked pantry and fridge, lots of towels, comfortable beds, indoor and outdoor games, right down to umbrellas and sunscreen. We would definitely stay here again.Thoroughly enjoyed out stay.

    Perfect stay

    The house is beautifully decorated and impeccably clean. So many provided amenities like bug spray, sunscreen, tons of tasty food and snacks provided. The outdoor space is gorgeous lots of seating and a fire pit. The host was awesome and very responsive to my needs before, during and after our stay. A very short drive to Stratford. 100% recommend staying here.

    Beautiful Home

    Very lovely stay. It very quiet, could see lots of stars at night. Also close enough to Stratford to attend events and gather groceries. I was impressed by the variety of breakfast items and snacks. Very clean and exactly as described. Hosts were quick to respond when we had a question.

    Stratford New Years

    This was a fantastic experience, the property is lovely and the hosts made everything easy. We loved the games and the huge table in the well-stocked kitchen! The location is extremely convenient, five minutes directly into the heart of downtown Stratford. Will definitely be back!

    We stayed for 3 nights at this wonderful cottage, to be close to St. Mary's Golf and Country Club for our daughter's wedding. Carly's attention to details are incredible. If you need something, I'm sure she has it in a basket somewhere near by. The cottage is very comfortable inside and out. The cleanliness was impeccable. We had outdoor games to play, a fire table, a natural fire and lots of comfortable outdoor seating to use. The cottage was spacious and the beds are very comfortable. She made us feel very welcome from the minute we opened the door. I only wished we had more time to relax and enjoy. Carly's communication was quick and easy and she was willing to accommodate me any way that she could. Hoping we can book again sometime. Thanks Carly for a wonderful stay!!!

    Warm and Welcoming

    Property was warm and welcoming, meeting all our needs and then some, with plenty of space to visit and enjoy the outdoors. Everything we may have needed was on hand, from umbrellas to games. Hosts were wonderful and responsive and accessing the place was a breeze. We had a lovely family weekend away here and would book again. Located just a quick jaunt away from Stratford was perfect.

    All the comforts of home and peace of mind

    How great not to have to worry about the facilities you are booking. This is our second time booking this cottage and plan to rebook a 3rd time if/when we make it out to the Stratford Festival next year. Great location - so close to downtown, clean, spacious, comfortable beds and bedding, two bathrooms, fully stocked pantry and refrigerator, laundry facility, outdoor patio and so much more. I love this place.

    We really enjoyed our stay at Carly and James home. It was clean, comfortable, and pretty. There was lots of room for everyone and we had our immediate family Christmas in their home on Sunday. It was so nice to have a full kitchen and living room. They also had a little table and chairs for the 3 little ones. They had many amenities and it really felt like home. They also provided games for the kids and had a Christmas tree. We definitely will stay there again!

    Very nice property near Stratford, the Great Lakes an Niagara

    Arriviung at the holiday home we were so lucky to find a nice and cosy home, prettty well furnished and inviting even with fresh flowers on the table and a good selection of food for the hungry travellers. The contact with the owners, dear Carly, was easy and we felt welcomed immediately. So we could enjoy each day travelling around to nice places like Niagara, Erie- and Huronlake, Pinery, and of course the Straford Festival Theatre showing Romeo and Juliet - brilliant!!!

    Just Right

    Our stay at Carly's VRBO was extremely pleasant. She has thought of everything possible to make guests comfortable; even stocking the fridge with basic necessities. While we did not eat any snacks, these were also readily available. Very clean, very comfortable; temperature just right. Highly recommend.

    The house was perfectly appointed in a beautiful rural setting. The house was exactly as described and Carly and James left a welcome note, breakfast items and goodies for us. The house was welcoming with lots of seating, inside and out, along with throw pillows and blankets to get snuggle in for the evening. The location was perfect just outside of town but it's still only 10 minutes to downtown. Cannot recommend this property highly enough, we will definitely be back.

    Nice & clean property, kitchen well suited for family brunch before heading into Stratford for an afternoon play. Must have car, closest corner store is several kms away, but there’s ample parking for multiple cars in the driveway. Door-to-door drive to theatres is actually less than 10min

    Snowy getaway

    We had a wonderful, long weekend! I was excited to build a fire and relax for the weekend and we got to do just that. A beautiful winter storm rolled through and the views were really nice. The hosts pay great attention to detail which made the stay even more comfortable. It’s is isolated enough to really disconnect, while also close to a cute town that has everything you need if you get a craving or want to walk around. If we are ever in the area again, I’d book the same place!
