The location of the property was great close to the pier, but there are hardly any directions on how to get to places Within the complex. To get to the beach from our condo, it was quite a haul. Noise from the pool, lazy river area was very loud and it was difficult to leave the doors open because of it, otherwise it was beautiful.

This is our third stay at Destin West. We enjoyed this room. The view from the balcony and top porch was amazing. The room had everything we needed. Four people was the perfect fit. Being in the Pelican building made getting to the last river and bay simple. WiFi was great. The outside furniture was polywood- and not a comfortable place to sit for a long time. But as I am looking at outdoor furniture for my home- I'll buy polywood for durability and add cushions. That is very picky. But coffee and a beer outside or playing cards and talking… should be enjoying the beautiful views.

We absolutely loved our stay! The condo itself was beautiful, clean, and exactly as listed. We loved all the room we had, both inside and outside. Having access to the rooftop was an added bonus. We typically spend most of our days at the beach, so we were nervous about the walk to the beach, but it was not bad at all! We did also enjoy the lazy river quite a few times. We will definitely be back!

This was a great location for our 1st family beach vacation. The condo met our families needs and my boys loved the bunk beds. The pool area was wonderful, and the beach was just a short walk away.

We've stayed at this resort before and it's a great room. Similar to previous rooms with the exception of stairs to go to the roof. The stairs are nice, but not as impressive as the larger PH with hot tub and all. We didn't stay up there, but that's because we went to my brother's room and went to his roof. So it is nice if you like to look out at night. The bed was great and I complained about the bed from my previous stay at this resort (different room). I wasn't in pain when I slept. They communicated super well and I appreciated everything about them. Really great stay and look forward to coming back.

Great Location and Views

Destin West is a great location with many good restaurants, shopping and activities near by. It is an easy walk to the beach, and the pool area with the lazy river is a great alternative if you want to keep it closer to the condo. There a great views of the bay from the balcony and the gulf from the rooftop terrace. I would absolutely rent again as the process was easy and its a short 20 min trip from the airport.

We have stayed at Destin West in the past and have always had a fun time. We enjoyed watching the fireworks from our rooftop balcony and also being able to grill. Our unit was everything we expected and very easy to check in and out Overall we enjoyed our stay!

Great Property

We loved the property. Everything was as described. The condo was beautiful, clean, and organized. The location is great. You can walk to restaurants, the pier, and family entertainment. We have been coming to Okalossa Island for 15+ years. This was the first time at this property but we will definitely be back.
