I’ve reached out to beach getaway with no response. We went to get into the hot tub the first night and it was empty. Super disappointing bc this is January and it’s the reason we booked this property. In the dark and cold we found the water hose and filled up the hot tub, then we found the “stopper” on a shelf and put it in so the water wouldn’t drain and turned on the hot tub. The next morning the hot tub was holding water but wasn’t warming up. I called beach get away and they told me they knew the hot tub was broken and I was supposed to receive a call before my reservation started. I didn’t. They did say they would sent a technician out to look at it. I watched a YouTube video and fixed the hot tub. When the technician showed up- 6 hours later- I told him I believe I fixed it and he stated “if you you-tubed it, you already did more than I can.” And he left. Luckily, the hot tub did start to heat up after I fixed it, but it was still over 24 MORE HOURS until it was warm enough to use. Again, it’s January so the whole point of renting this particular location was the use of the hot tub. There are a few other negatives, but they could have been overlooked if not compounded with this huge mistake. This review wouldn’t have been made if beach getaways would have made it right when I reached out after my vacation, but they didn’t! I’m local, I stay out at Pensacola beach multiple times a year, I won’t be recommending this property to anyone.
