"Enjoyable stay, great location and lovely pub. We would definitely stay again, the only niggles for us were the mattress could have been better quality (we like a good mattress) and the room being not so roomy meant that the unit with tea/coffee etc was quite crammed with the fan on it also so made it a bit of a chore space wise for making a cuppa. The breakfast was excellent quality my husband had the full breakfast which was lovely, good quality ingredients and plenty of it, the only bug bear there was the toast was cold and as I only have toast and jam, I would have enjoyed the toast hot. All in all it was a lovely place, really friendly staff, clean and welcoming and we really enjoyed our stay."

"If you are looking for luxury this isn't the place for you. Its very homely and warm like visiting Gran. Had everything we needed and very spacious. Garden is a plus for the dogs and a lovely walk to the city center. "

"Communication prior to the booking date was pretty poor. The hosts are through a different company and so it was very hard to get a response to messages through VRBO. The track up to the cottage was in very poor condition, although it is said by the owner's that they don't own it so they can't do anything about it. The cottage itself is lovely, warm and spacious with almost everything you need for your stay (apart from any cleaning supplies).I would also point out there's an information book in the cottage which has a lot more stuff in it which I feel should have been provided prior to the stay. This would include my point of the cottage being dog tolerant, not dog friendly as they're not allowed in the bedrooms or on any furniture. So this was quite distressing for my old dog who usually sleeps in our bedroom in her own bed. We could also hear the cottage next door talking when we were trying to sleep, they weren't being loud just talking and laughing but obviously the walls between seem to be fairly thin.A strong suggestion would be to install a light outside the back, it was impossible to let the dogs out to the toilet out there in the evening as we couldn't see a thing. This meant we had to take them out the front and on lead, which wasn't ideal for them as they like to go to the toilet off lead. That being said, we did enjoy our stay here. The cottage is really lovely and we would stay here again as it's ideally situated for all our family and beach visits. "

"Very clean and everything you need for a stay and the Welsh cakes is a nice touch. Nothing much in the immediate area, but there is a coop a couple of miles away. Easy access to the Mumbles and the beaches at Rossili etc.The approach road is in quite a state of disrepair with substantial potholes for about 200 yards (grandson counted more than 40), so great care is needed in order not to damage your car. (Fortunately we have a 4x4).Having said this, we would use again and recommend it."
