Some places are too good to be true and this is the epitome of that.
We as a couple stayed at the cottage overlooking the Salish sea with occasional orcas and from the moment we arrived our jaws dropped at the view. We brought a bunch of craft activities to keep ourselves occupied but spent most of the time in the hot tub or on the patio watching the marine traffic go by.
The cabin includes everything you could need to comfortably live there. There’s a full bed in one room and a queen in a nook off the living room area - both are very comfortable and cozy.
On our last evening in the hot tub, a pod of orcas surfaced just below the cabin at the edge of the cliffs giving us a front row seat in the lavender twilight. The next morning a family of deer grazed within a few feet of our car as we regrettably packed up.
Worth the money, worth visiting pender island for, and a precious gem that we hope to return to each year.
