I hope you'll come and enjoy our cozy and bright cottage, situated on 4 serene acres, in the spectacular Southern Gulf Islands. The cottage is well appointed with open concept living, dining and kitchen area. It has one bedroom with queen bed and upstairs you'll find a very cozy loft with two single beds. But you'll likely spend much of your time on the spacious deck, enjoyable any time of year. Summer is sun drenched all day thanks to our south east exposure. Fall, winter and spring have their own special appeal, with evenings spent in front of the wood burning stove enjoying a good book, board games, or the quiet of your surroundings.

Enjoy the untroubled pace of the cottage or put on your walking shoes to enjoy the many beaches and trails the islands have to offer. Biking, kayaking, sailing, golfing, and many other activities are near by as is the beautiful Poets Cove Resort and Spa where you can enjoy fine dining, spa treatments, swimming and much more.

In summer, the Saturday farmers market is not to be missed and you'll be amazed by the talent and creativity of our numerous artisans. As well, Pender Island has many amenities and services to provide you with whatever you may need for your stay.

This is our third time staying at the cabin. Brigitte is always welcoming and helpful and the cabin has everything we need at a great price. Previously we’ve visited mid winter and enjoyed the wood stove, but this fall we also got to enjoy the sunny deck in the afternoon and star gazing at night.There are multiple destinations for walks nearby that we took advantage of, and Brooks point is also close.The only negative I would mention is a couple tight turns in the road near Poet’s Cove on the way to the cabin. You get use to it but it’s tricky.

Excellent spot to nestle down

This property has everything needed for a quiet retreat. Comfy bed, cozy fire, and so much quiet. The proximity to Higgs Beach is a bonus. The distance to Vanilla Leaf Bakery was probably a good thing.

Relaxing Space

We had a lovely 5 nights and everything was exactly as we remembered from years ago. Highlights were watching deer, enjoying fires in the wood stove, and feeling ourselves relax in the quiet.

Great weekend away!

This property was just perfect for our visit on Pender. There were 3 of us and a dog, my 2 daughters slept in the loft and I in the downstairs bedroom. Brigitte was a wonderful host, very responsive and flexible with check in and out times which was greatly appreciated. We will be back!

Well appointed and cosy cottage

The cottage is very comfortable and cosy and we loved how quiet it is. We like to do a lot of our own cooking and the kitchen had everything we needed, all very clean and in excellent working order. Brigitte was attentive to our needs and very friendly and helpful.

Great spring getaway

Enjoyed our time here in spring sunshine! Cabin is cute, cozy and clean. Super deck and outside green space ideal for our pup. Cabin is at the front of the owner's property but feels private. The trees have grown so water views are peek-a-boo. Recommend!

Return visit as pleasant as the first

The cottage was very cozy and had everything we needed. Brigitte was easy accessible and regularly asked if we needed anything. Excellent value for cost. It was sublimely quiet, nice and clean and close to several great walks to the shore. We loved watching snow fall past the huge windows and looking at the stars from the deck at night.

Perfect Island Stay

The perfect location to visit some unique spots on the Island! It was awesome to hike the beach and other trails, before coming back to a clean and homey cabin. The A frame design was cozy and check in was easy! We also appreciated the well stocked spices and teas.

First timers club

Husband, wife, and three small dogs enjoyed this South Pender cottage. For us the location was ideal - 2 min drive from restaurants and cafe at Poet's Cove and also close to great hikes by the ocean. We enjoyed using the propane BBQ and the dogs enjoyed the open yard and deck. The baseboard heaters kept us toasty in the cool nights and the bed was comfy with big fluffy pillows. Wifi is strong and reliable.Be aware that the host requests guests to remove their own garbage which you can dispose of for an 8-12 fee per bag at the Medicine Beach liquor store.

Rustic getaway

This was a wonderful getaway to a relaxing rustic atmosphere on an island full of lovely people, pleasant hikes, and public amenities like a pool for kids who would like to swim in something warmer than the ocean.

Pender Island getaway

Perfect little cottage on South Pender

We spent two nights on South Pender at this adorable cottage. Everything was just right. The cottage was the perfect size, well-equipped, clean and bright. It has a lot of natural light and a great arrangement to take advantage of the big windows, but still felt very private. It rained our second day, so we built a fire to warm up and dry our stuff - the host had made sure we had plenty of wood and it was all set to go. We were completely charmed by this cottage and the island; Brigitte was an excellent host, even if we never had the chance to meet her. The stunning Brooks Point park is just a few clicks down the road. We can't wait to come back!

Pender Island Cottage

My husband and I stayed at this lovely cottage in South Pender in early February 2024. The location is quiet and secluded - we really liked its coziness and the wood stove! Brigitte, our host, made our stay most enjoyable and pointed out some really cool things to do, including a hike up Mt. Noman and the Sea Star winery. Highly recommended!

Perfectly quiet getaway

Our 3 nights at the cottage were everything we hoped for and even better then. It was very quiet and peaceful. The cabin was clean, cozy and had everything we needed. South Pender Paradise

We were on South Pender for a short stay but we had such a lovely time at Brigitte’s cozy cabin that I’m sure we’ll be back! She welcomed us warmly, provided excellent info about the house and area and shared garden produce with us as well. Her cabin was comfortable, tidy and cozy; firewood was provided and all was as described. This was a wonderful choice for a weekend or week-long visit. Thank you Brigitte!

I wish I could give a 10 star rating as others have, but between the steep rutted driveway, overall maintenance needs of the home (worn furniture, sliding glass door doesn’t easily open and there is a large hole in the screen, bathroom fan needs a good cleaning). That plus the requirement to not flush toilet paper and take your garbage with you (we had 4 days worth of garbage and a 10 hour trip going home). And the view is almost non existent with tree growth. On the plus side, the bed was comfortable, kitchen well equipped, it was walkable to several beaches, and the owner did communicate well. Maybe just too rustic for me?

Bright, clean, comfortable, and quiet! Steps away from a short trail down to the ocean, an easy stroll to Poets Cove, a 5 minute drive from Brooks Point... so a nice location on South Pender.
