Hygiene was okish but the mattress on bed were very uncomfortable couldn't sleep whole night. The mattress on the bed seem to be very old and needs replacement.
It was terrible! Not recommending anyone. Spend £10 more and get a decent room in other hotels in the area. As a couple we stayed in a twin bed room for 2 night. Shared bathroom, was listed free breakfast and thought sort of english breakfast but they had a kitchen with stuff like, egg, banana, beans, bread coffee, etc.. which you have to prepare yourself. All banana finished in the first day and they didn’t put more the 2nd day. Couldn’t sleep til 1:30am as the old guy next door came drunk, slammed the door kept making noises despite his wife tried to calm him. The hotel staff knew this and didn’t bother to do anything. Room had barely enough space to love around, bed was third class. Bedding was stinking.
Im appalled this is on your website. The food rating is one so the accommodation is a 0. I had no curtain in my room and i was explained the access in and out of the building. Their is a communal kitchen with no milk provided and also it was extremely noisy, i was woken up at 4am constantly. I expect a refund or i will report this property & your so called respectively company (Hotels.com) to the relevant accusations. I have been a member for several years and i will be deleting my account as this was and will tarnish my experience physically & mentally . You cannot add photos to the page but if you provide a alternative email i will provide. Absolutely shocking!!!.
Awful place. One star is too much. More like a doss house. Unopened post piling up at the door. Floors could do with a good clean. Hand written paper signs stuck on the door and walls. Very scruffy looking. I arrived at about 2am. My room was very cold. I asked for the heating to be put on. They said "OK" but didn't do it. Heating didn't come on later either. Bedside lamps from the local Sue Ryder shop were tatty and plugged into an extension bar. The only power outlet was on the other side of the room meaning there was a cable on the floor (trip hazard). There was no sign of breakfast and nobody there to talk to about it. Didn't matter as we wanted out of the place as soon as possible.
