Best Western East Zion Thunderbird Lodge

"Pleasant attendant at the check in desk, allowed us early check-in after a very exhausting morning at Zion. Rooms were clean, our shower was awesome, my wife loved the sheets on the bed. Kids used the pool and probably would have golfed if it wasn’t so hot. The restaurant is always good and the pies are great. East entrance to Zion, the tunnel, and the Canyon Overlook Trail is 25 minutes away. Gas station to fill up the tank is across the parking lot. The only hiccup was the restaurant’s credit card reader had an issue when we tried to pay for breakfast, so we paid cash that morning. No big deal. From this location we easily made it into both the park at Zion (30 mins) and Bryce Canyon (55 minutes). I’d book this place again without hesitation."

"Typically, there’s no staff on duty. You receive a text containing the room number and door access code the day of your stay. Seems a little odd at first, but after a long days drive it’s real nice to go straight to your room and crash!!! It’s an older motel, but the rooms are clean and comfortable."

"I found this property very charming. While we had to leave to early to get the included breakfast, we were very impressed with all the amenities and the property. Now, one thing that may throw people off is that the property owners are very hands off and only show up during breakfast hours. I personally like it as they treat you as an adult, and in return you have pretty much free rain around the property as long as you don’t bother the animals. You will have to travel for food, but they include a grill and other things to cook with if you go grocery shopping. Overall, a nice little spot between Bryce and Zion at a decent price."

"Property was ultra clean and very well supplied with amenities you wouldn't think you'd need or use. The host was great with communication if we had a question. The spa is in amazing shape and for a family of six we had plenty of room and a great time. We will definitely be staying here again in the future."

"We are so happy to have chosen this place in Utah. It is a well appointed new cabin, beautiful views in every direction, spacious and comfortable. It is easy to get to but quiet, perfectly situated between numerous activities including Zion, Bryce, even Cedar Breaks. It is one of the best vacation rentals we have ever had - I just wish we could have stayed longer!"

"Absolute perfection! The house was immaculate, beautiful, and super cozy. It felt like coming home as soon as we walked in the doors. The kids loved the bunk room and all the books and games and activities available in the house. The views from the balcony at sunrise were incredible. Sunset in the jacuzzi was awesome too! Just a short drive into Zion, Kanab, and surrounding sights. There’s so much beauty and fun all around. It’s like nature’s playground, plus there’s cute little towns along the way. Including Orderville itself. Make sure to grab a coffee at the Shop in town. The hosts made things so smooth, they communicated very well, and they provided so much info about all the great things to do in the area. I can’t recommend the Wander Inn enough, to not only experience Zion, but also to have a great place to call home base."
