The best area to stay in Paya Bemban is along the main coastal stretch, particularly around Pantai Cahaya Bulan (PCB) and Pantai Irama (Beach of Melody), as these offer the most developed facilities and convenient access to the beach.

Pantai Cahaya Bulan (PCB), also known as Moonlight Beach, is a well-known spot just a short drive from Kota Bharu. It features a long, sandy beach with a good selection of casual eateries and local shops. The area is generally relaxed, making it a good base for exploring the local culture and enjoying the sea.

Families often find PCB a good fit due to its open spaces and access to local food stalls, which provide easy dining options. The beach itself is suitable for gentle walks and building sandcastles, and there are often kite-flying activities which children enjoy.

Pantai Irama, or Beach of Melody, located further south, is another good option, known for its pleasant atmosphere and well-maintained public spaces. It's often considered one of the most attractive beaches in the state. This area provides a slightly more refined experience with some guesthouses and local restaurants.

Couples looking for a relaxing getaway will appreciate Pantai Irama. The beach is lovely for evening strolls, and the area offers a more tranquil setting compared to some busier tourist spots.

The best time to go to Paya Bemban is during the dry season, which typically runs from March to September.

During these months, you'll experience sunny days and calmer seas, making it ideal for enjoying the beaches and outdoor activities. The weather is generally warm and pleasant, great for relaxing by the coast or exploring the local area without the interruption of heavy rainfall.

Couples often find this period great for a romantic getaway, as the clear skies and gentle breezes create an idyllic setting for strolls along the beach or dining al fresco.
