Close proximity to the major shopping centres, bangla road, patong beach and attractions. The hotel was clean however the decor was outdated. The highlights were the pool, gym and sauna - fabulous vista views of the island. The service desk at the pool were luclustre - often times the bar was serviced by a staff member who didn't smile nor looked approachable. The reception desk was unapproachable at best and the staff looked like they have had enough - didn't wish to be there. My first impression when I got checked in wasn't impressive. The hotel has a fair bit of potential - all the best....

This hotel was a perfect base for patong ,a minutes walk from bangla road ,yet quiet of a night ,we had a junior room and it was big and lovely and clean ,staff we great and pool area was nice aswell ,if we had to moan gym could be better

Gone downhill .
4th time staying here and regretted it straight away , wrong room given. No electricity, no glasses for drinks, no manager on site and unhelpful staff. Never booking again. Such a shame , it used to be such a good hotel.

The front desk at check out was asleep, then we argued over glass or cup missing in my room.I didn’t know I’m supposed to a full inventory at check in. After having to raise my voice, I finally got my deposit back. No for going back to this hotel

My partner and I stayed here for 9 nights. Perfect location 2 minute walk to Bangala. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was our 20 year anniversary and the staff kindly decorated our bed, I really appreciate it. Thank you for your amazing service. The room was clean, bed comfortable, the lights in the room weren’t bright enough but besides that our experience was amazing. I would definitely come back

Property needed some TLC and a bottle of bleach for the bathroom. No iron. Pool needed some fixing, tiles all broken on the bottom of the pool..pool area needed improvement run down. No hooks in the bathroom to hang a towel or clothes. Area handy to most things.

The Gig Hotel is the best place I’ve stayed at for comfort and accessibility to everything in 14 years travelling through Asia. The staff are extremely polite and helpful and the amenities are awesome. The rooms are a great sized 36 sq metres with big bathroom, cold aircon, fridge, hanging space, electronic safe, gigantic bed and balcony with outdoor furniture. On the rooftop there’s a Huge Crystal clear swimming pool with 360 degree views, decking area, sauna, Pool Bar, Gym, all open early-until late and 2 Very fast elevators. The location is fantastic with the beach less than 10 minutes walk. 5 minutes walk to the Big C supermarket, Jungceylon and Central Malls and 3 minutes walk to Banzaan Food night market and 2 mins to Bangla Walking Street. Surrounded by multiple vendors, restaurants, cafes, pop up markets and convenience stores. Rent a motorcycle outside the building and park in underground security parking. Very quite despite the close proximity to everything with only a little rising road noise which is common. The building is designed with a Atrium void running through the centre from the ground floor foyer to the rooftop which cools down all the open corridors like they were air conditioned. We originally stayed for 7 nights in a seaview room and then extended for another 6 nights and moved to a same sized mountain view corner room with a fantastic rap-around balcony. Definitely 10/10 for the Gig, absolutely loved it and counting the days until our next trip.

Walkable to shopping area and able to find food easily. 1st day no air con but however staff manage to fix it the next day. I am so gladful that the staff able to help me to unlock the safe to retrieve my belonging.. Thank you.. The pillow case kind of stain, hope it can improve Abit. The sitting area got stain but manage to clear it off myself

Location is a minute walk to Bangala Road but the stay was TERRIBLE. First warning was the 2,000THB CASH deposit. And they will use it for ANYTHING!!!! My daughter had a drink spilled on her and stained the sheet just a bit. They charged us 1,400THB for a single old sheet set!!! The bathroom smelled like a sewer, the bed is like sleeping on concrete, the breakfast was not to be consumed, the pool furniture is in need of replacement, multiple people checking out were MISERABLE, and the cops came out for one family. The towels were terrible and I doubt they wash them with soap. Oh, and the best part, you cant flush toilet paper. (Barf) and enjoy the sanitary bags and terrible smells. The lobby is nice, as well as the staff, but all other aspects were terrible. We could not wait to check out and go elsewhere. Spare yourself and stay further than Bangala Rad and enjoy the TukTuk ride!!!

Great location, with amazing views from the Infinity Pool on the top floor. New Gym and equipment. Solid European Breakfast every morning. Spacious rooms biggest bed I’ve ever slept in. I’ll be back again in January for sure.
