Special place to stay in Phuket with amazing breakfast in a quiet yet not empty street. We enjoyed the location and the food a lot, but the toilet could use a little curtain instead of clear glass only. The people that are in charge of the place is amazing.

Building site minimalism
The hotel tries to pretend it is a minimalist type design. In reality, it's more like an unfinished building site. The walls, floor and ceiling are unfinished cement. The sink and shower are made of unfinished blocks of cement. It is clean, but for the price, you can get something 10 times better.

Ella is a very nice hotel, I would definitely stay here again. I checked in super late, around midnight time, but staff left me a note on the front door for contact. The place is clean and a minimalism design. But beware of the stairs, they are steep and carrying your luggage up and down could be dangerous. I recommend this affordable hotel for everyone who's going to Patong.

Good budget boutique hotel with modern touches
Small boutique hotel located above a bar/restaurant. The rooms have a modern industrial design and look fairly new and clean. The staff is very friendly and the location is a block away from the beach, down an alley with limited traffic, so it's not too loud considering you're in the middle of the action of Patong Beach. One downside; the bed was very hard, but from what I understand this is common in Asia unless you stay at a Western hotel chain. Overall, good value for the money. I'd stay here again if on a budget.

Great, simple affordable hotel
Ella is a good place to stay. The staff is hospitable, helpful and very friendly. It is an industrial style building and has minimal amenities. Bed is firm and hard. For the price point it is suffice and good, location is incredible. Don’t expect any bells or whistles. Smaller rooms do not have anywhere to place your things, we upgraded to have some room for this and also to get a chair. The street where the hotel is has many local shops and awesome options for massage. The best thing about Ella was the FOOD. The breakfast was amazing and we also ate lunch and dinner there as well. Delicious!!! There are steep stairs to walk up to get into the units. No elevator.

Excellent location, clean and modern hotel
The location is excellent if you want to stay in Patong - 3 min to the beach, 7 min to bangla road, but in an alley with tons of cheap eats and massage places. Hotel itself is very clean, rooms are modern, good amenities, but there is no door to the bathroom, and the toilet is like 5 feet from the bed. We had a room with a great balcony. The included breakfast was excellent - and the bar downstairs is a great place to hang out. Staff was very nice but don't have usual hotel services (ie calling you a taxi or providing your info). Would definitely stay again!

Boutique Hotel close to beach and restaurants
I love this hotel. Have stayed several times. Fantastic location in a quiet ski, 2 mins from beach and many restaurants and shops nearby. All the staff are fantastic. Super friendly. Hotel is clean and safe and very good food available in downstairs bar/cafe area. Would recommend.

Great clean modern hotel but different!
This is my favourite hotel in Patong. It is modern and a little different to most Thai hotels. The staff are excellent and super friendly. Fantastic menu with all differing cuisines and located in a quiet street near to the beach and many restaurants shops etc and 5 mins walk to Bangla Road.

OK, girlfriend was extremely hot I had booked this hotel for 10 days. Just wanted to give it a shot. To start with we were put on the 4th floor. No elevators folks. Looks like this hotel was built from the ground up of a building that was gutted and lot rebuilt for this hotel. The room however was ok, shower ok, but no door for toilet, so no privacy in other words! Hotel staff however were nice, in a quiet area down a soi and near beach.

Value for money
Ella Bar, Bistro, and Bed is a basic hotel but comes with only the basic amenities which is needed. Spacious room but no space for additional storage space. The hotel does not have elevator. Therefore, it would be suitable for couple without much luggage. You have yo carry your luggage up to the room by stairs. It is well located near the Patong Beach where the beach, massage, eateries are all within walking distance.

Loved this place. The room (I had a deluxe with the large bathroom) was stunning. You can see from the photos, it has a very modern design. Plenty of room, beautiful bathroom, huge balcony. This place is more like a private apartment, rather than a hotel room. Don't expect room service or anything like that. Yes, they clean your room every day. But they don't have the normal services a "hotel" would have. This was fine by me, as I don't want that anyway, so it was perfect. Saying that, they don't mind you take your bistro order up to your room anyway. The staff are very nice and accommodating. The access to the rooms, a coded door heading upstairs. No reception. Just come and go as you please. Like I said, more like a private apartment than a hotel. When I arrived (about 9pm) the street was packed full of people. I thought oh no, it going to be loud. Not at all. By 10pm, the street was empty and very quite. Not much traffic, even during the day. Considering the location (which is basically smack bang in the heart of Patong), it was a very quite area. Yet so close to everything. Great location. The bar/bistro... awesome food. Western/mexican/italian. Try a few different tacos. Amazing!!! Probably the best tacos I have ever had in my life. Pancakes... oh my god... yum. 10/10 I would highly recommend Ella Bar - Bistro - Bed to anyone who doesn't want the traditional "hotel". I plan on staying here again next time. Loved it. Ask for street facing room. Rear room - no balcony

Super cute industrial theme rooms
In the craziness of patong this hotel is an oasis. It's located down a quieter side street, yet still just one block from the beach. The industrial theme: concrete walls/floors, purposely exposed conduit, etc. I thought it was really well done. Also, concrete walls make for a very quiet room. The balcony is small but adequate, not much of a view. While waiting for my room to be ready I had lunch in the bistro....super yum!! The tacos are Amazing! Try the massaman pork taco.

Cool hotel with modern feel... food in the restaurant was good. Hotel staff was good. would stay here again. Bed was a little too hard for me and balcony needed a good cleaning. Also, i was solo so no big deal but no toilet or shower privacy.. this was room 3

The hotel is super near to the beach. I had a chance to stay at both room 6 (standard room, rear facing) and room 4 (superior room, facing the main door side), both rooms did not receive too much noise from downstairs. The cleanliness of the room is acceptable considering the super low cost of staying. The host was very responsive to my enquiries as well.

Very very nice hotel for the value
The hotel is a very small hotel so do not expect any fancy facilities like pools or spa. But, it has everything we need. Location is very nice. It is in the middle of very popular Patong beach area. You can go to the beach by just 3 minutes of walking. Although the hotel is in very busy Patong beach area, the street is very quiet at night. We stayed in ELLA Luxe Room w/ Double Balcony and Floating Bath for 3 nights. The room is very cool, large and modern. This is one of the two (?) units with a bathtub. But, I experienced hot water issue (it gets really hot for the first few minutes then gets really cold....) so I could not fill up the bathtub with hot water... And we had a hard time draining the water out of the tub because the bathtub was partially not functional (broken???). If we will stay the same hotel next time, I will just pick a smaller room without a bathtub. Anyway, hotel staffs were super helpful and kind and room was very clean. Also, the breakfast they serve (complementary with our stay) was fantastic and it comes with a fantastic cappuccino (or any drink of your choice). There are a lot of hotels in Phuket (especially Patong beach area), but with the price, location and the modern room, Ella is one of the most attractive hotels to stay. If you will be going out a lot, this is the place you want to stay. I highly recommend this place to anyone.

An affordable perfect location!
Had an amazing 3 nights over at Ella. A great location which is just a stone's throw away from the beach, yet away from the crowd and noise of Bangla Street. Perfect for anyone that wants to be at a quiet yet happening place (more importantly, it's right opposite a 24-hour mart). Staffs were very accommodating and helpful throughout.

It was horrible.. 2 nights i cant sleep at all. Aircon is broken. The room floor is dusty. Despite its location this hotel is not preferable. I only choose this hotel because great comment from others. I have 2 heavy luggage and i got 3rd floor room and the dont have lift. I have to carry those luggage and the stairs design are awful. Very hard to climb. This hotel need renovation. If they renovate it.. it would deserve 5 stars. If you happen to choose this hotel.. you have to choose with breakfast included. Because its breakfast are awesome

I had a wonderful stay at this boutique hotel. Rooms are very spacious. The shower is great with huge tub. The owner and her staff are wonderful bright people. I wish I would have gotten to stay longer. I will absolutely be going back and I wouldn't dream of staying anywhere else

Fab design hotel
Gem in the heart of busy Patong. Stunning industrial exposed design warmed with amazing service and food that compares to any cafe food here in Australia. Funky vibe in the bar/restaurant downstairs and intelligent artful design in the rooms upstairs. Literally next to Bangla Road when you want to party yet quiet enough to sleep the day away with hangover in tow. Dalinee knows her stuff!

I was very pleasantly surprised upon arriving at ELLA how clean and modern the rooms are. The design is very different, and I like it a lot! The rooms are spacious and very clean. Nice comfortable bed. The breakfast was fantastic, with your choice of many options (I had the full-breakfast and the eggs benedict). The staff is very kind and helpful. There is a great little cafe/bar downstairs. Private passcode entry to guest rooms for guests at night. The location is fantastic as it's only a 2-min walk to the beach. Also very close to the nightlife of Bangla Road without there being any noise as it is located on a dead-end alley off of the main beach road. Lots of good restaurants around the area within walking distance. I will definitely being staying here again on my next trip to Patong Beach.

Interesting concept
Hotel was of a interesting concept, something unique. I stayed in the deluxe room and i loved the bathroom - big and clean and good for couples because of the open shower concept. Although the floor can get quite turn off sometimes when its wet, but i wasnt in the room most of the time so it didnt really bother me. Breakfast from the hotel was good, only that the kitchen only opens at 9am so if you booked tours, most of it will start at 7plus 8am, which means you wont be able to get your breakfast. Staff was very very useful especially the lady boss, and im grateful for that!

Had a great stay at Ella. Walking distance to the beach and shops, nightlife and malls. Transport, food and massage are just within reach too. Ella provided us with a wide selection of awesome breakfast menu too. With great services from the staffs who totally have trust in their customers and also allowed us to have a late checkout timing, Ella is one great place to stay in Patong. The only downside of Ella is the climbing of stairs and its open concept of the toilet with no doors and glass doors for showering, so be prepared for this. Overall, its a thumbs up!

From the moment we arrived until our final day @ check out we were completely satisfied with this accomodation. The staff are amazing, the all day breakfast is superb, the location is a winner, & quite frankly I couldn't have asked for more! Nothing was too hard for the staff to handle - from providing us with a motorbike rental, to offering us a complimentary late checkout, airport transfers etc. I can't wait to return to this fabulous place. Thank you to all the staff @ Ella! My husband and I truly appreciated your hospitality.

Stayed at Ella Bar for 2 nights. Manager and staff were very welcoming, friendly and always happy to help. Food was of good quality, similar to a gastro pub style and a good selection of drinks and cocktails. Only a 2min walk to the beach. 7/11, massage parlours and souvenir shops along the same road. The main patong strip is only 5-7mins walk away. Suggest shopping around for tours, always haggle and check the quality before buying souvenirs as people WILL take advantage of the fact that you're a tourist.

The location is perfect as it's accessible to the beach and shopping area. My partner and I enjoyed every single thing about the room as it wasn't the usual boutique hotel we used to stay. Many variety to choose from the breakfast menu.

Lovely!
Such wonderful people! Very welcoming. They even brought food to my room when i was sick. The food tasted amazing and so did the cocktails. Only problem was when they ran out of water more than once during my stay but i guess that was just bad luck! Recommend for anyone who wants to spend a little more $$ for something not so thai traditional :)

Notre arrivée était très tardive mais la propriétaire a fait tout le nécessaire pour que nous pouvons entré sans soucis! Par contre ce un peu difficile de trouver la situation géographique malgré toutes les annonces, si non tout était nickel.

Spezielles Minimal-Design, gute Klimaanlage im Zimmer, sehr bequemes mittelhartes Bett, einwandfrei funktionierendes Badezimmer (super-Dusche), prima WLAN (Netflixen geht gut). Top-Frühstück und Kaffee. Ideale Lage gleich neben der Bangla-Street und dem Strand, Wäscherei gegenüber, Top-Massage und Kosmetrik-Salon nebenan, Roller-Verleih, 7eleven und Apotheke in der Strasse keine 50m entfernt, Vorsicht: kein Aufzug, WC im Zimmer ohne Tür..., recht lärmig (vorne heraus zur Strasse geht es gerade noch, aber hinten unten hat es eine mega laute Hallenlüftung nebenan).

Simple and efficient
Nice superbly located small hotel in the heart of Patong. The beach is 3 min away and Bangla Street about 7 min. The bistro has good quality food and the coffee is great! Staff is super nice. Avoid room 2, which is above the kitchen when you don’t want some morning breakfast smells. The bathroom though is huge and makes up for that.
