We had an extended stay at this property from late December through January. We were happy with every aspect of our visit. The food was exceptional and the staff always had a smile. Everybody from the General Manager, to Executive Chef to the house keeping staff regularly checked in to be sure we were satisfied and see if they could do anything for us to make our stay pleasant. They went above and beyond by doing things like play board games with our daughter when on a given day there weren't any other children to play with. Most days there were one or two other kids for her to play with, but there were a few days when were grateful the staff would help to keep her interested. The pool and condition of the beach was superb. By far the best up and down the beach and we checked them all out during our visit. It is remote, so there are not a lot of things to do outside the resort. That's OK as the hotel offers a fair amount of things to do and we like to be away from the hustle and bustle. Across the street there is a coconut farm that offers a very interesting tour. There is also an option to take a tuk tuk into town to get produce or poke around and see how the locals live. Some people warned us about the weather at this time of year, but during our entire stay it only rained a few times for about 5 minutes and one day for most of the morning. Very good considering we had an extended stay. We will definitely visit again next time we go to Sri Lanka!

We reached there around 2 PM. But the booking/reservation details were confusing. It took them more than 30 minutes to sort the room and booking/reservation details. Also inside the room in one of the beds we found some blood stains in the linens. We taked to the room services and they took care of it. However, i was really surprised to see something like thisin a such reputing hotel. Overall the accessibility to the beach and the view of sunrise was spectacular.

Overall an okai experience. The pool is quite amazing, enough space to hide from the hot sun when you need to. Close to the beach. The place is quite clean and calm. The staff (most) did not respond to our needs most of the time. They would tell you that they will be back, but would never turn up. The room was medium sized. The breakfast and dinner could have been better.

Our 9-day stay at Sunrise by Jetwing is a dream come true in every respect, great service, perfect location, beautiful and very clean hotel with a beautiful beach and a huge swimming pool. The food is delicious. An ideal place for a relaxing holiday away from a thousand tourists. The staff are excellent and friendly. The management is professional at the highest level. first off the entire staff from Geneal Manager who was very friendly down to guys who clean rooms and all inbetween were great ! very pleasant, very helpful and a pleasure to talk too. the grounds beautiful, pool great, beach beautiful, room clean, spacious, comfortable. not possible to even think of saying but great things. very pleasant stay.

Staff need to advise all guests at check in regarding the 10% on taxes when dining at the restaurant. We were told that it was printed on the menu however it can easily be unnoticed on the menu card as the writing was so small. Overall the stay was adequate. The life saving guards were extremely friendly however the front desk need to ensure that all guests are informed with the relevant opening times of the restaurant and its taxes.

A magnificent hotel on a paradisiac beach
This is a magnificent hotel located on the most beautiful part of Passikhuda beach. The building is beautiful, the huge swimming pool is amaizing, the facilities are perfect and well maintained. Prices at the restaurant and bar are reasonable. The staff is excellent and friendly. The management is professional at the highest level.. Every little request was immediately met. always with a smile. In fact all the personnel look happy to give service. I was very impressed by the wine list at the dining room. Sri Lanka is not a wine country. At this hotel they offer a rich wine list including 8 different 'house wines' of good quality and modest prices. In general the value for price was incredibly high.

All members of the hotel staff without exception were extremely polite, courteous and very helpful. I like the pool setting & the proximity to the beach. The beach area was so clean & the water quite shallow and the whole place was out of this world. As for the price, I think the price is very reasonable. I will always recommend Sunrise to my children & if I ever visit Sri Lanka again, I will come & spend more time at Sunrise...just to relax!

Beautiful hotel
We were only there for one night but had a good experience. It was the quiet season so there weren't a lot of other guests which made the environment very relaxing. Check in was done quickly and easily. The rooms have a good layout and are of a good size. The pool was amazing - big and clean. I love that the Jetwing chain have environmentally friendly initiatives like refilling the bottles of bathroom products, and they are good quality products too. Jetwing also support the local communities by employing local youth and putting them through trainee programs. I can't comment on the beach because I didn't have time to go there and preferred the pool. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant. Dinner did take a little while to come out but I'm guessing they didn't have many kitchen staff working because of the small number of guests at the time. My room didn't have a mosquito killer so I was woken up through the night a couple of times with mosquitoes buzzing around my head. My travel companions had mosquito killers in their rooms so I'm guessing housekeeping just overlooked replacing the one in my room when it ran out. All in all, I would definitely recommend staying at this hotel and if I ever get the chance to go back I'd stay there again.

Fantastic, the best hotel of them all. We stayed with our kids (5 and 8) for 3 nights and we loved the pool, the Beach, the food, the rooms, everything. Make sure to get a full body massage, it was amazing:-)

From the moment you arrive you are blown away with the vista if the hotel. The pool running from reception to the beach. The hotel was immaculately clean and beautifully kept. The staff went out of their way to make you feel so welcome it was like being home. The food was outstanding. The best Sri Lankan breakfast I have had. I cannot give a higher review as I was blown away with the whole experience. My bed was so comfortable and the room well equipped. Even the little extras in room service were amazing. Well done Jetwing!!

Relaxing beachside loveliness
New in 2016, the quality of this hotel's rooms, public areas and pool are top-class. The location on the stretch of beach is about the best. The range and quality of food and drink are great, if not exceptional. The staff are a happy crew and eager to please, even if their English isn't 100% yet. Our only gripes were the lack of clarity around the price of the wine - worth establishing the total before ordering - and the reliability of the wifi; when it worked it was fast, but it would sometimes go down for three hours at a time. But these had little effect on a very relaxing and enjoyable Christmas stay.

Sunrise at Jetwing, Pasikudah beach
The Sunrise by Jetwing is a newly opened hotel on Pasikuda beach, the same beach as other high end resorts. They had only been open for 10 days when we visited and the Jetwing still has some things to work out with staff training and completion of landscaping for the resort. But the management and staff are excited to be open and eager to please. Despite a full house, they made a real effort to provide a good breakfast and succeeded! The beach area is one of the best for swimming and wading, with very little coral close to shore. This was not the case for another resort down the coast. The rooms are clean and well designed with nice ocean views. The Pool is magnificent, at ~ 100 meters. We did not eat dinner at the resort as we preferred to eat a la carte and a buffet was served at the resort, due to the New Year celebration.

Coup de cœur
Nous avons eu un vrai coup de cœur pour cet établissement. En arrivant depuis la réception la vite sur la piscine est magnifique. 108m de long en diagonal vers la mer la piscine du Jetwing Sunrise est la plus longue et sans doute la plus agréable du Sri Lanka. Il faut dire que nous étions hors saison, aussi elle était quasiment vide. Pourtant nous avons eu du beau temps. Le personnel est au petit soin, très sympathique et professionnel. Le restaurant est très bon, le petit déjeuner et extrêmement complet. Le chef s'adapte, en plus de la carte il propose un menu qui change au gré du marché. La chambre est correct sans être extraordinaire, mais elle dispose de toute l'équipement d'un hôtel de cette cathegorie (terrasse aménagée, lit king size...) Enfin, nous avons profité d'un tarif très doux pour un rapport qualité prix imbattable. Bref, vous l'aurez compris nous recommençons très chaleureusement cet établissement.

Schönes Hotel direkt am Strand
Wir waren eine Woche im Sunrise und haben dies als sehr erholsam empfunden. Unser Deluxe Zimmer hatte durch die Palmen hindurch Blick aufs Meer. Das Bad war angenehm groß und die Betten sehr bequem. Zur Begrüßung gab es einen Obstteller und jeden Tag verschiedene Sorten Tee. Das Essen im Restaurant war sehr gut, besonders gut hat uns der Barbecue Abend gefallen. Einen dicken Punktabzug gibt es jedoch für das Frühstückspaket, dass wir uns für den Abreisetag vorbestellt hatten. Es enthielt lediglich zwei trockene Brötchen. Wir haben dann auf unserer Weiterreise ein Paar aus dem Nachbarhotel getroffen, die ebenfalls ein Frühstückspaket dabei hatten. Dies sah dann schon ganz anders aus als unseres.

5 gg di relax
Il sunrise è uno splendido Hotel situato nella posizione migliore della Baia di Pasikudah e con il minor impatto ambientale. Le camere sono ampie, pulite e dotate di tutti i comfort, la spiaggia anch'essa ampia di sabbia dorata con comodi lettini e grandi alberi ad ombrello che creano ampie zone d'ombra. La Piscina? Anche troppa.. Per quanto riguarda la ristorazione non ho trovato particolari difetti, in generale di mangia bene. Il prezzo del cibo e delle bevande é adeguato allo standard dell'hotel che cmq senza voler nulla togliere, e molto più caro di altre strutture simili che ho visto in altre parti del mondo. Il personale è disponibile, in gamba e parlano tutti inglese. Consiglio di implementare il beach bar e di pensare ad un qualche tipo di intrattenimento serale xché cenare e andare a letto alla lunga è un Po noioso. Di certo adattissimo a chi vuole fare una vacanza di solo mare ultrarilassante!

Maybe we were a little partisan because we stayed 5 nights in the hotel next door (Uga Bay) and this was like a dream. We loved the beach and decided to stay two nights longer and therefore moved to Sunrise Jewting. Of course you compare and the site of Jetwing just couldn't compare. We wonders why the tracks we made of sand when there's all sand around. The room was little small but okay and comfortable but you could look to all other balconies from your one what was the reason why we didn't use it. In my opinion the prices in the restaurant are to high for the quality. The stuff was friendly but there were many trainiees who still had to learn a lot.

Chaîne d'hôtel un peu cher et sans intérêt car ne reflète aucunement l'atmosphère et la culture du pays. Tout le confort d'un hôtel international et donc les défauts qui viennent avec. Hôtel pour quelques jours tranquilles en bord de mer pour des personnes qui ne s'intéressent finalement pas à la découverte du pays. Les chauffeurs ne semblent pas être très bien accueillis alors qu'ils participent grandement au développement du tourisme. Les hôtels devraient comprendre ceci et prévoir des aménagements un peu plus décent. Cette remarque est valable pour pas mal d'hôtels malheureusement.

Ruhe garantiert mit Riesenpool
Alles neu und Grand Opening steht kurz bevor. Personal ist super freundlich und gut geschult. Manchmal wäre dennoch ein bisschen weniger in Ruhe gelassen werden und Drinks an den Pool bringen wünschenswert, alternativ fehlt eine Poolbar. Hotel ist aber absolut zu empfehlen.
