They were a bit nosey for my liking and kept telling me that I need to be aware of the political climate. Hilarious because that is my job to advise on as an int'l attorney. "Do not stay at this hotel. When I arrived, they did not have my reservation, but they let me in anyway. The room they gave me had ants crawling all over the bed. They made a half-hearted attempt to spray the floor, but they ran out of bug spray. I told them I would make it work because it was almost midnight and I had just arrived from the US. "Easiest 5 stars I can give. When I fist stayed here in 1995 if was vastly different. It has improved so incredibly. We really enjoyed our room with great AC, plenty of hot water and comfortable beds (although a king bed would be nice! The swimming pool was clean and excellent. The handling of switching room towels could be better, but they get the job done. I can’t say enough about how great the food is at the Camino Real!!! Great breakfast buffet and very tasty food in the restaurant. I highly recommend this hotel - especially if you’re staying close to the airport. The traffic getting to places in the central and southern areas of Managua is abysmal, however. "
