"We loved staying at the Hotel Souvenir! The rooms were air conditioned which was so great as we were there during the extra hot days. The breakfast was a real treat as were the various areas to enjoy our food. The desk person was so very nice and helpful. I would return to this property in a heartbeat."

"We had an amazing stay in Monterosso. It was the highlight of our trip to Italy and we could have spent the entire trip there. The apartment was the perfect home base for our stay. It was clean, provided plenty of room for our family of four, and the rooftop views cannot be beat.Simona was a wonderful host! Great communication. She made recommendations for us and also offered to make dinner reservations."

"The room is exactly as shown in the listing! It’s small and cute but has what you need for your stay. Located in a nice area close to the beach. However, there are many stairs to get to the room so keep that in mind when you have a big luggage. Also, The hosts are very responsive and kind when you message them."

"We were very happy with our room. We were able to walk to our room from the train station. The breakfast buffet was good. The only complaint we had would be our shower. The way the doors are set up it was difficult to get into the shower. We did hike to the next village-Vernazza. Although it was a challenging hike, especially in the heat, we were able to finish. An accomplishment for being 66 years old. We do exercise but don’t hike so we were proud to have done it."

"You can’t beat this location!! We absolutely loved staying in this property, minutes (or even seconds, depending) from everything we could want or need in Monterosso. Despite being nestled in the heart of old town, nights were quiet and peaceful. It was a dream. The property is exactly as advertised. My husband and I shared the main bed, and our two teenagers each took a couch/futon. With our luggage, the space was a bit tight but we made it work (and we had two weeks’ worth of luggage, to be fair.) The air conditioning was an excellent bonus during this heatwave! As others have mentioned, be aware that you need to climb a set of stairs in this property (there is no lift option); however, the location and the experience overall are well worth it! 10/10, would stay here again!"

"The property location was right in the center of the town. The downside - it was right in the center of the town in which music was loudly played and revelry was had till all hours of the night. The location is hard to beat. The access to the train station and beach was fast and easy. But the heat that Monterosso was experiencing during our stay forced us to sleep with the windows open, causing noise issues. It was a conflict to leave the windows open or closed. (Note: there is no cooling in the apartment - just a couple of circulating fans. I’m sure most apartments in Cinque Terre are the same.) The property owner was more than accommodating and gave us great recommendations for dinner. We loved the apartment - especially the balconies. Unfortunately, the noise kept it from being rated 5-stars. If you plan to be one of the revelers, then this might be a perfect spot."

"The Villa Tanca is amazing. We had a large group in Cinque Terre and it accommodated us perfectly. It is as gorgeous as the photos and the views are breathtaking. Also the hosts were incredibly thorough and helpful, with lots of lovely touches. Amazing stay, highly recommend."

"The apartment is spacious and located right in the middle of old town. Everything you need is close by and accessible…shops, restaurants, the beach! It can get a bit noisy at night, but we were there during late night World Cup matches, and we just kept the windows closed and the ac on."
