We will definitely be returning to this little piece of paradise. I honestly don't believe I have stayed anywhere with such a beautiful setting. This is a well hidden gem. The cottage, the town of Paris, the views of the outlying areas, even a view of Subiaco Academy give this stay a very Hallmark like feeling. We fell in love with this area of the state and the architecture.
We chose this house for the proximity to Mt. Magazine State Park, and after our day hikes, we got to see every bit of fireworks that went off in the valley below. This house has an incredible view from its hilltop! We cooked all our meals during our stay, so it was really nice to have the grill outside. It was the perfect spot for our low-key 4th of July family get together with my husband's mom and dad. :)

This place is great if you want to get away and appreciate a natural setting up on the mountain overlooking the valley. It is very peaceful and relaxing in the sunroom or on the hammock chairs out on the gazebo. The bedrooms are simple with queen size beds in each and one bathroom. The kitchen is large with a dining table and anything you need to cook. The living room is also big and open with a large TV.
There was a little electric fireplace underneath it that didn’t seem to work, and there was no Wi-Fi, but that might both be temporary.
It didn’t affect me because I just wanted to check out and be in a peaceful country setting. The roads are steep and gravel, but even a little Nissan Sentra did fine.
First, we have stayed in a lot of VRBO's. I would rate this one in the top 5 of all. Clean, comfortable, and since we were in town for a wedding, convenient for us to the venue. Second, the view from this property is amazing. We couldn't decide if it was prettier in the daylight or at night! If you are looking for a place near the Mount Magazine or Paris area, don't pass on this one. Finally, Steven our host actually called me when we had a question and was very accommodating of our request. He checked on us when we arrived to make sure everything was in order. We loved our stay and will for sure stay again if ever we are in the area.
This is the place to stay for a relaxing weekend. Beautiful views and comfortable house! We had me my husband and our 4 children(10-3) plenty of room! We went up magazine mountain and just relaxed. Very great place to stay
This home was even better than the pictures. Not a speck of dirt anywhere! So many special touches. It was so easy to maintain throughout our stay. We will rent this place again. It was just beautiful and the host responds so quickly.
Great, quiet getaway near Subiaco Academy and Mount Magazine
Great weekend trip and enjoyed beautiful view, weather, time with family and dad had a great high school reunion with buddies at the beautiful, quaint campus of Subiaco Academy!
Property was even better than described! It was immaculate and comfortable. The setting was perfect looking down the mountain and seeing Paris. Enjoyed morning coffee in the patio room. The home has been beautifully updated on the inside. We will be back for sure!
Beautiful setting. Very clean. No Keurig as mentioned in listing. No WiFi. Good communication from owner.

Was a beautiful property! Was quiet. Had a garage to park in, the listing said there was a keurig coffee pot so I brought my own pod but there was only a old coffee maker. Just an fyi. Was not a problem we just went into town for coffee
We were overall very pleased with this property. There were four adults and one 2 year old child in our group - I definitely wouldn't have wanted any more people in our group... but the house was perfect for all of us. The yard was spacious for the 2 year old to run around and play and the sun room was a big hit. The property owner was very responsive and answered inquiries very quickly. I would definitely recommend.
I booked it for 2 nights, out of which 1 was my birthday.
The place is good and cozy for 6 people. "sleeps six" it says, but the full size bed in 2 Rooms is not a great place to be for 2 but it was still a doable.
I'd say more than 2 days here wouldn't be recommended.
The owner communicated very well and I loved the location of the property.
If the weather stayed good all the time I was there it could have been better.
Recommended time there is between OCT-MAR.
The 9-year old said, "Wow," every time he walked into the sunroom.
We took my parents to explore Mt. Magazine, see Blue Mtn Lake, and visit Subiaco Abbey. The cottage rental was a great base for the weekend. The cottage is snug, with wonderful views day and night. The sky was great with the rising moon, rising sun, and setting sun. The view scape looks over the last of the Ouachita's northern ridges, across the Arkansas River Valley, and all the way to the Ozarks to the North.
The beds were comfortable and the linens soft and white. The kitchen was well appointed with plenty of pots, pans, and utensils. The dishes were well matched and dining was pleasant.
Our only wish was that we had more time to relax at the cottage!
My husband and I, along with sister and her spouse enjoyed two nights here. Everything was wonderful! The location is beautiful, very comfortable arrangement.
