This property was in a central location to access everything we wanted to do. Beautiful location, loved walking the farm and visiting with the horses/donkeys. Peaceful nights to sit outside and to soak up the ambiance. Would stay here again in a heartbeat, didn’t want to leave.
Great location for Keeneland Spring meet and distillery visits. Just as described. Loved the views of mares and folds ( Spring time). Lisa and Steve were available if needed but still very quiet and private. Will stay here again.
We absolutely loved this renovated train station! Beautifully done! It was perfect for the 4 of us. After a noisy day at Keeneland, it is so quiet and the views are breathtaking. The donkeys were so sweet and love green grapes. We had an amazing time! Will definitely be back.
We loved our stay. It was just north of town and there was great restaurants close by. We stayed here for a two day music festival and loved that it was away from all of the noise. This building has been renovated and is adorable. This was a great place for two couples to stay. In addition, we left something behind and the owner was very helpful in locating it and worked with us to ship it to us. If we come back to the festival next year, we will book here again!
The property is BETTER than you can imagine!! Super clean…tons of room…and the grounds are a dream! The calm quiet surrounding pastures had horses with their 5-6 mo old babies leisurely grazing right outside the front door. Communication was easy, quick and helpful, go check this place out
It was a lovely stay! We loved the historical details of the renovated train station. The white roses and freshly baked chocolate chip cookies in our place was so welcoming! Finally we so enjoyed actually being on the farm feeding the burros and petting the horses. Everything was so relaxing. We would love to come back!
If you like animals, relaxation, and history this rental is perfect for you! Despite weather that was not ideal, we had the best time with our kids visiting the animals. We did not want to leave. We have no complaints about anything and the owner was very kind. There is a restaurant only a few minutes (maybe 5?) away called Windy Corner Market that was so good we ate there 3x in two days.
This property is absolutely gorgeous. Quiet, clean and comfortably elegant. It was a nice bonus to have laundry detergent, washer and dryer available, too. The only complaint is the toilet paper was GREAT!!!! And that is my pet peeve at most rentals. Cheap toilet paper! So.... gotta find a new pet peeve. Wonderful stay by teen and parents.
We stayed here while we were moving our UK college student out of her dorm for the school year. This is actually our second stay at this property. We enjoy staying here because the owner is easy to communicate with, the property is clean, and the surrounding area is peaceful and relaxing. The property is accurately represented in the photos. It is a working horse farm so there is some activity on the farm but it did not detract from our stay. We will be back in the fall.
We stayed here for a long weekend visiting our daughters who attend college and University of Kentucky and Xavier University (Cincinnati is only a little over an hour away). We rented out both units. This is our third stay at this property and it didn’t disappoint. Both units are clean and the photos are accurate. The property is quiet and peaceful and our family loved seeing the horses and donkeys - many which would walk up to you when they see you. The owner is easy to communicate with. We prepared some meals at the units and the cookware was good. This is our favorite Vrbo in the Lexington area and we will definitely be back.
Property is outstanding and Stephen and family are wonderful host. The house, setting and horses are second to none. It has to be the newest and cleanest VRBO property we have stayed. Everything was covered and nothing was lacking.
Our daughters (21 years of age to 7) were in heaven being around the horses and foals!!!
The icing on the cake had to be meeting Sophie the Jack Russell.
BLUF...You cannot go wrong spending a night or weekend in this property especially if you like horses or southern charm and manners.
My family stayed here over Labor Day weekend visiting our college daughters (Xavier and University of Kentucky). We loved the peaceful setting on the horse farm. We loved seeing the horses and feeding them in the evening. The property is accurately listed and was one of the cleanest rental we have stayed in. We cooked a large dinner for the girls and the kitchen equipment and utensils were more than adequate. The washer and dryer worked well and our girls did their laundry while there. The owner communicated effectively and check in and check out were easy. I would recommend this rental and will likely stay again the next time we visit our daughters.
The property is just minutes off the highway allowing you to get to downtown Paris in minutes or to downtown Lexington & the KY Horse Park in 15-25 minutes. There are multiple horse farm tours in every direction. We were welcomed with beautiful roses & cookies up on our arrival. I met both hosts as the live across the way & were over tending to the horses. We were also greeted by the donkeys who love peppermints amongst other things (we discovered thatincluded bananas). The Adirondack chairs provide a peaceful view all day & evening. It's even better if the horses are in the front pasture. And you can walk to the barn if they aren't out. There was a claw foot tub in the master bedroom so don't forget your bath bombs to relax at the end of your day. Highly recommend going to the Windy Corner Market for any meal! It's only a few minutes away.
Loved staying at this unique property with nearby horses and donkeys. The place was immaculate and spacious. Communication with the host was excellent. Location was perfect for tours of private horse farms, Keeneland Race Course and Woodford Reserve Distillery. Will stay here again if back in Lexington.
