This apartment looks exactly like the images, so no problems there. The host's communication is excellent. The mattress in the loft and the pillows are extremely comfortable. Bottled water was thoughtfully left for our stay.
The unit faces a courtyard so it is nice and quite (besides upstairs neighbour's footsteps heard when in the loft).
However there is some room for improvement:
- The air conditioner is a portable unit with a vent to the window. We had to seek help as it would not turn on due to the previous guest using the dehumidifier function. After using this unit on the cooling (ice) setting it was evident only the dehumidifier setting works to cool the apartment. This will require you manually emptying the unit, if you know how and can lift the unit onto a ledge (can't be unplugged due to a heater panel in the way).
- No instruction book is provided for the apartment. This would help guests understand how the appliances, especially the TV with two remotes (why two?) works.
- Use of single use shower gel and soap bars. Not enough provided for the stay and better environmentally friendly solutions exist.
- No tissues provided in the unit.
- Some of the furniture is too large or excessive which makes the space less functional.
- The stairs to the loft are no joke. Be aware.
I would recommend staying here if you're 2 adults or have one child with you. It is clean, quiet and comfortable. Some upgrades would make this apartment a real gem!
