Great hotel by the station
A great hotel, with friendly staff, and so close to the station. Not the best neighbourhood but it is the centre of Paris. We would stay there again - also great showers which is unique for Paris

Very good for price
Room we had was small but clean and had everything we needed. The little fridge and water replenished was a nice touch. Free safe and could set it to your own pin was good.

Overall compliant with Mercure standards
Overall the hotel seems to be compliant with the Mercure standards, and therefore one has little risk of being too disappointed with the room conditions. Yet one has to walk 3-5 mins to get to the hotel from the station, crossing two streets, which may give some hassle to people with many things to carry. I went out and came back at midnight, and had to knock on the door for about 10 mins with another guest until someone came out and let us in.

Very close to railway station. Helpful and friendly check in and clean rooms with a good shower. Small rooms but adequate. Softish mattress and lovely soft pillows. Good breakfast.

Good location for station
Chose this hotel for its location near to Gare du Nord. Small cafe just 5 minutes walk away which was perfect for breakfast and late night dinner. Didnt like the sliding door for the toilet.

I am a regular hotels.com user I almost never review a hotel but this time I could not share the experience: terrible hotel. located in an area of town really shady, room small beds really small and uncomfortable,worst pillows ever , the curtain to small for the window so there was light early in the morning , they never cleaned the room or change towels in the 3 night's we where there.

Beware. Book elsewhere in Paris! You have been warned. We thought booking a Mercure Hotel would ensure a good experience however this hotel has some serious problems. 1. We had no hot water for the whole 2nd day. The water heater had failed. Searching reviews online this seems to be a reoccurring problem since at least October 2019. We have yet to achieve a refund from Expedia for one day ca.£73 despite contacting them 3 x and asking the hotel itself and emailing Mercure complaints. Expedia has not called me back as they promised. Truly dreadful experience with both hotel and Expedia. 2. The aircon heating controls do not work and we were cold as it was below c18. We were given a 2nd duvet and I requested a heater. Then the heating was turned up and we were too hot at c22. Thermostat controls do not work in room. 3. On the first day we had no water as it had been cut off by the City of Paris for repairs. We could not wash or flush the loo! Not the hotels problem but they could have warned us in advance! The staff are polite and the cleaners efficient but Mercure must fix the water heating which fails frequently. The location is very good. We would stay again if the hot water and heating gets a permanent fix. The cost of breakfast was too expensive and we didn't book it. There are cheap places to eat nearby.

Disappointing stay at a top branded hotel.
An oversold hotel on the website. Cramped rooms that were far too small. Space in the rooms and the hotel in general was very limited. My booking told me I had a room with a view of the city! I had the station tracks instead! Lights sockets missing covers and the shower dispenser didn't work. Whilst the staff gave great service the hotel itself was very disappointing.

The hotel room is very small. The separate wc has a narrow entry for an average size person. It is close to the shops and the train station but not much for sight seeing unless you want to catch the train!

Great location and friendly staff
Room was tiny for Mercure standards but in perfect condition with comfortable bed and very clean. Lot of natural light with windows that can opened for fresh air. Nice location in the proximity of two main railway stations and numerous public transportation options. Friendly staff.

Convenient location
Fine for a short break or overnight, we’ll located between Gare du Nord and Gare l’est ... good friendly service and comfortable room, a bit noisy and access hampered by road works. Fairly noisy but it is in the centre of a big city! Slightly seedy area but we had no problems and it’s so near the two stations so easy to get around using train, metro and RER

I stayed in other Mercure properties. This one is not even close to any other. Basics are not even correct, like the rooms are too small, Telephone doesn’t work, limited options in breakfast, etc. At this price and at this location, there are multiple better options. Does not recommend.

If this hotel was in a better part of the city it would get a higher rating from me. NOT a nice area but close to both the Gare du Nord and Gare de l’Est. Rooms were clean but mattresses not at all comfortable. Staff was very nice and the breakfast also good. Probably wouldn’t stay there again because of the neighborhood though.
