Worst hotel ever
Worst "hotel" I have ever stayed in. Room was tiny, no lifts, stairs up to 5th floor were exhausting to climb. Bathroom was appalling,dirty cracked tiles, no screen / curtain in shower. Asked for fresh towels and toilet paper which we received 24 hours after requested. Overall cleanliness was terrible. Best thing about the place was locality, will not recommend or return

Nightmare in Paris
I don’t even know why Hotels.com advertise an hotel like this. The building is so old, 6 floors and no elevator. Bed internet connection, filthy dirty, electric cable can probably catch fire any second. Bedroom: old carpets full of dirt covering an unleveled flooring, no a/c just a little old fan, dust from the 1950 everywhere, the lights above the bed were being held together by paper clips, spiderwebs in every corner and spider bites on our feet as soon as we walked in, no tv; we had to cover ourselves with towels cos the cover of the bed was the only thing separating us from the mattress (which we had no courage to check it out). Bathroom: The sink is clogged, the tiles are extremely dirty, the window is sealed with paint covered in mould as well as the ceiling, the shower curtain totally ripped hanging by a thread, dangerous bathtub high and slippery, missing handle (actually broken) on the inside bathroom door. This hotel is not only disgusting to be in but it is also a safety hazard for anyone who stays there.

Good budget option in St. Germain area
Lovely view of the street, which was great during the day and a little noisy at night. But for the price, it was still a steal, and the location is convenient. Also close to St. Germain pool, which is nice on a hot day.

Customer service re booking mistake was very poor.
Mistake in booking and have had hell trying to get a refund even for part of the stay (was a booking for 3 nights so about $600). Can’t comment on a stay but customer service has been a nightmare. You call and they say they don’t speak English, so I went to the hotel and they did and said there was nothing they could do, no offer to speak to manager or even try and help despite the fact they eluded they had filled the room with another guest. overall very dissatisfied with the customer service and left a sour taste of our stay in Paris

The hotel is in a great location with many restaurants, close to Notre Dame and the Seine. The room is very small and basic—no frills, no headboard, soap for the sink but not for the shower, no shelves in bathroom for toiletries, no decor but clean beds. It was fine for us as we prefer to site see versus staying in our hotel room.

Cheap hotel, but you get what you pay for.
Very low cost at a central area. Nice shops, restaurants and bars nearby. Building was old and not well maintained. We were on the top floor, walk up narrow stairs which is typical. However the stairs were quite dirty. Beds were fine, and sheets clean. But carpet was very old and stained and very dirty. Shower was tiny, which is to be expected, and dirty with lots of mold. Toilet was in the hall and shared. Clean enough, no toilet seat though. The staff were very kind and helpful.

I was put in a seven story walk up. The toilet was in the hall and had no seat or lid. The chair in the room was broken and the table looked like it had been made in shop class. There was a mouse in the room and I got a bunch of bug bites staying there.

Hotel is quite basic. Room is functional, no decoration. Narrow stairs and no elevator. Price was what attracted me. Indeed not expensive for area, since location is great, close to Ideon and lively nice area of Paris.

Great Hotel!
Wonderful old hotel in the heart of Paris! So many great cafes nearby, close to the Abbey of St Germain des Pres. Metro access three blocks away. Clean, with plenty of local character. Excellent, friendly service! Making this my favorite hotel in Paris!

Great location, nice view from the room, clean.Downside, noisy, very limited on amenities in the room, such as placement of power oulets. Worth the price, unfortunately not a great place for a good night sleep.

Pleasant staff, great location. Quite austere, but comfortable. It is a place better suited to "travellers" vs "tourists." It's a narrow, spiral, walk-up, but great location near everything you need.

Very noisy
On the main small street-very noisy (parties in restaurants in the evening till 2-3am; then vendor and garbage trucks staring at 4 am). For hot water you have to wait 10-15min. Dust on features in cabinet and bathroom. The shower curtain was molded. 5 min walk to st. Michel metro for RED B train to airport. 10 min to Notre Dam.

good position, but needs upgrade
Hotel is in a good position, close to Metro, cafes etc. But as a consequence there was noise till very late, so if you are an early sleeper, this Hotel would not be for you! The hotel has NO LIFT so it could mean dragging your baggage up to 6 floors. Important to check with the Hotel what floor your room is on at the time of booking. The room I had ( a single room, double bed, private facilities) was spacious, the bed was comfortable, the bath was good, but the room overall was in need of a thorough clean, paint and upgrade. Also, the reception seemed not to be staffed all the time. This was not a problem for me, but several guests arrived and found nobody in reception.

I came a day early and they gave me what was available. The next day they moved us to a nicer room with a private toilet. The picture on Expedia is not accurate. From what we saw some rooms need an upgrade others are fine. The neighborhood is very noisy which was not a big problem for me but others may find it hard on sleeping.

Great views and location! Definitely a budget type hotel. A few easy things to improve the experience would be to provide soap and take away used towels-clean ones were provided during our stay. As mentioned in earlier reviews, there are steps, 110 to the sixth floor!! Read all the reviews and you’ll know what to expect. It suited our purposes, but probably isn’t for everyone.

Cheaper place, but may not be worth the savings
We had mice in the room that ruined our food. One day we tried to eat chips (the bag was unopened) and noticed that crumbs fell out of the bag. We then noticed punctures in the chip bag and proceeded to check all our unopened food. All our food had little holes or punctures. It was raining alot during our stay. Water leaking/dripping into the room. There was also no lights in the shower area.

DON'T RUIN YOUR TRIP, STAY AWAY!!!!!
I have not been to a property that there is no manager to decide about cancellation when we wanted to do so??? Agent even called everyday?! We did not feel safe and the place was really filthy. Mold and dust everywhere which caused my asthma to act up as soon as we got to the place. They might have tried to keep us away from street but in order to do that, they put us in the 4th floor where they did not have elevator and you have to go through a really skinny spiral stairway that is not luggage friendly (considering we only have medium size one?!) Very noisy even at a high floor. The room too had no air conditioner, nor fan to help you recover after you go up the flight of 4 floors?! There were even big bags (maybe of linens) around the stairways where people will walk through?! NO fire hazard consideration?! Husband even saw hole in the wall that looks like a peek hole??? REALLY SCARY!!! Left hotel altogether and left key because there were no staff to attend??? We saw at least three keys were left at reception???!!! met couple of people at entrance waiting on personnel too and complained to us as well...RUN AWAY!!! Expedia need to update review to this place...>((

Do NOT bring your significant other here, period. If you are roughing it and want to stay in a superb location without shelling out, it is fine. Bed/linen was clean and comfy but I had a mouse running between my legs, the shower curtain smelled (awful), overall state of the bathroom was bad and the front desk was away so had to call them and wait for them checking in/checking out.

Vibrant area. Lots of restaurants and attractions nearby. The character of the old hotel could have been enhanced with a bit of care. Facility has been badly neglected. Should honestly be listed as a HOSTEL.

We booked a room with private bathroom, and had to share the toilet, when we went to bed we left a granola bar in a table, when we woke up next day the granola bar was eaten by a rat, the shower was dirty. I understand it is a cheap hotel at a great location, but no getting the private room, room infected by rats it is unacceptable

Rethink your options
I first off have to say, the people who checked us in were absolutely lovely. They were so friendly and they did everything they could to make the stay more pleasant but this place is something else. First off, we had to walk over 100+ stairs just to be able to reach our room. When initially booking the reservation, it said we had a private bathroom but when we got there, we were told we had to share the toilet with another room. The WiFi was nonexistent, unless you were on the first floor. When stepping into the shower, the curtain had holes and full of mold. It truly was disgusting. There were crumbs of food on the floor and when pulling the bedding, the sheets had stains on them. We didn’t even want to lay in the bed because it was so bad. Spoke to management about the issues and they tried to help but couldn’t fix our issues. Walls were moldy and there was a hole on the floor we had to be careful with. The location of the place was amazing but we wouldn’t stay here again.

An old hotel with leaking toilet
It was almost horrible. When I was showering late at night, someone knocked on my door harshly late at night telling me that his toilet was wet with dropping water probably from my room. It is rude! The toilet is leaking. the picture in the website is so much far from the real room that i stay. It was a horrible experience.

You get what you pay for. Small dumpy hotel. The sink leaked, turning into a major flood at night. There was no one to ask for help and none of the management answered their phones. It was terrible.

Perfect location, but you get what you pay for
Location was great, it's on a street with plenty of restaurants and shops, walking distance to many tourist attractions. Our room only had 2 outlets that only worked half the time, a light in the bathroom was out, and it was overall not the cleanest, but for a 2 night stay it was fine for us. The owner who checked us in was very nice and accommodating.

Great location! Terrible hotel
The hotel is in a great location!!! Room is overpriced considering the condition. Apart from the location, the hotel is very outdated and needs renovating. Our room smelt like an ashtray. Bed and pillows were old. Shower had mould. Wifi is temperamental and can only access emails and basis web browsing. The room has a heater but it is not adjustable so it is a sauna. We were on the 4th floor which is problematic when having to carry 6 weeks worth of luggage upstairs. The staff don't help - they just sit in their office and watch soccer on their laptop.

夜遅くにチェックインはできないとのことで、朝荷物を預けてから、14:00過ぎてチェックインをするためにまた戻ってきた。 チェックイン時間を伝えてなかったらしく、8:00に着いたが、ホテルは閉まっていた。 シャワーは狭く、水はすぐに詰まってしまうが、朝には水が引いていた。 ベットメイキングもしてくれている。 安いし、立地条件もよいので問題ない。 ドライヤー、歯ブラシセット、パジャマはないので、自分で持っていく。 バスタオル、タオルは完備している。 ホテルの人はフレンドリーで優しい。

En general el cuarto es bueno, tiene una excelente ubicación aunque no es tan fácil de encontrar la dirección. No me agradó que el baño esta algo pequeño y que no hay un contacto de corriente eléctrica más cerca de la cama.
