Very nice, clean and friendly hotel. The room had everything I needed but was very, very small. ( Not unlike many hotels in Paris ). If you are traveling by train, as I was, the gare de Lyon Station is only a block away.

Like others our room was at the back with view of a wall, but it was very quiet and the room - though small - was very comfortable. Breakfast is a good selection, and the staff are helpful. It is good to have the 24 hour reception. The hotel is ideally placed for Gare De Lyon.

Two night stay near Gare de Lyon

Had a pleasant 2 night stay at Hotel de France. Staff were welcoming and friendly. Room was a bit small and internal facing, but bed was very comfortable. Shower not great, low pressure. Location was great for restaurants, Gare de Lyon and buses, metro etc.

The Hotel is very nice, cosy, small but it has it all. Very clean, quiet, all what you need room.Price vs quality is really fair. It will be my option when staying at the area of Gar de Lyon!

Hotel staff was always friendly and helpful. There was always someone available at the front desk, which was convenient for us because we had to catch a 6am train on the morning we departed. One of the few hotels that we found that actually had a 2nd bed for our son and not just a sleeper sofa. The air conditioner also worked amazing, which is a hard find in Europe

I was a bit concerned that this property might trade the obvious advantages of convenience (so near Gare de Lyon) and price for comfort. Instead, it was very clean, quite comfortable, and a super nice staff. Great value.
