We booked a studio room for an overnight stay which gave more space. Clean white sheets and towels and good shower. Breakfast buffet had a wide variety of good cold food. Convenient location for Gard du Nord. Good restaurant close by.

Lovely hotel in good location near the train station. Staff were excellent, very welcoming & friendly. We arrived a little late for breakfast but they kept it open for us. Clean nicely decorated room, would definitely stay here again if I visited Paris.

Staff was courteous and helpful. We were changed from our selected room (which was going to be bigger) to a different room (which was very small) but was okay as the elevator did not go to the floor that our original room was on and two of us would not have been able to navigate the winding spiral staircase. They were also very accommodating in allowing us to check in early. VERY small elevator. VERY small bathroom. Breakfast was limited. Best thing about this hotel for us was its proximity to Gare du Nord, the friendly staff and the beds were comfortable. Oh, and we did hear a serenading at 2am - that was fun!

Twin room small, bathroom large. Clean, firm but comfortable beds. Desk staff very helpful. Able to store luggage in secure room at beginning and end of trip. Tiny elevator worked. Breakfast was worth small cost. Convenient to train and metro stations, which also means homeless people. Aldi / grocery, convenience stores and pharmacy nearby.

This place is conveniently located very near Gare du Nord and most of the metro lines to get you anywhere you want to go in Paris. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Plenty of great places to eat close by the hotel and a short walk to Sacre-Coeur. What could be better.

The staff was lovely. However the hallways were dirty and the shower was cold. I tried to shower the evening i arrived and the next day and both were barely luke warm. I literally ended up using the kettle to boil water and take a bucket bath with my mug. I was only there one night in transit and would not stay there again. The room seemed a lot cleaner than the hallways but right as I walked in the room I saw a random lipgloss under the edge of the bed. The bed itself was fine and the location convenient .

Aside from almost getting stuck in a tiny elevator, we were positively surprised by our stay at Résidence Avalon. We had a studio (with a microwave + fridge - although it unfortunately didn't have a freezer compartment), which was more spacious than expected, the bed was comfortable and the furniture as depicted. Our room was facing an inner courtyard and was fairly quiet. Internet was not great (weak signal) in our part of the building, though. Aside from that, the (older) building is super close to Gare du Nord and the breakfast was pretty good for French standards. Plenty of choices. Notice that there are at least 3 (or 4?) hotels with "Residence" branding in this block.

Very nice staff. Room was very small with too much furniture. Photo is deceiving. Bright street light mounted in building next to our window. The drapes didn’t help. Breakfast very ordinary odd layout and way too much furniture in lobby. I think they cater to large groups.

Although the property is dated, it offers the basic ammenities. I got a room with a little mini kitchenette which included a microwave, fridge, mini electric range and cooking supplies. It does offer a basic morning breakfast for 9 Euros. The air conditioning was not working, so just be mindful of the time of year you are there. The heater was working. I was there during a seasonal change, so it was cool in the morning and evening, but warm during the day. The room did include three sets of french doors with a balcony running the length of the suite. The location is right in front of grocery store, metro stations, buses and is a 5 minute walk from Gare Du Nord, which is were you can catch a direct train to London. The neighborhood felt safe overall. Would definitely stay again.

The staff were very helpful. The beds were super comfortable and we enjoyed the breakfast. The only negative was that our room was close to the main road and it was very noisy during the night. Also the shower did not have any hot or warm water. Would recommend for a one night stay if you are traveling by train as the Gare du Nord was only 5 minutes away.
