Staff very helpful; our hotel room was clean, lovely and quiet. Hotel is in a fantastic location as near lots of great local cafes, patisseries, restaurants and boutiques. Highly recommended.

The check in staff were great, let us get rooms early. But one of the rooms wasnt actually ready when we opened the door (unmade bed, room needed to be made up). Also, it is very small for what you are paying (maybe that is Paris hotels in general). And the hotel internet didn't actually give us internet access (we accessed WiFi using the signal from a hotel across the street).

Room was small but clean. We didnt like that the bathroom door was glass and thus provided no privacy to toilet or shower. Be warned that the building opposite (in September 25 at least) was undergoing major renovations and was noisy (drilling etc) from morning onwards including Saturday. Very convenient for access to République and Oberkampf Metro stations. Staff were excellent.

The hotel is very pretty. Rooms are small but typical of a European boutique hotel. The hotel staff was excellent, very helpful and friendly. The neighborhood is also good for a quick bite, plenty of options nearby.

I had a wonderful stay at NEWHOTEL REPUBLIQUE (ex Albert’s Hotel) with my sister. The room was very clean, cozy and had a beautiful view from the small balcony, I would especially like to thank Doushka and the lovely lady at the reception (I believe she may be from Ukraine or Russia – not sure, but from that region). Both of them were extremely kind, warm, and helpful. Their hospitality made us feel truly welcome and taken care of 😊❤️ We highly recommend this hotel and would happily stay here again during our next visit to Paris!🇫🇷

Convenient to the Metro and great dining, shopping, and cultural options nearby. It's on a side street, so it's a little quieter. Staff was lovely and helpful. Our room was comfortable, but having the shower immediately next to the door to the room was a little weird.

Great location, bathroom amenities, and staff but the rooms needs an upgrade in terms of cleaniness and renovation. It was a bit dirty as well as old, and not in a charming way. First room we got was horrible but luckily we got an upgrade. Don’t really understand the outstanding reviews.

What a great little hotel. I travel to Paris often but had never stayed in this neighborhood. The hotel is small but cute and the staff are very efficient and helpful. The neighborhood has lots of cool places, including just one block away a very famous and trendy ice cream and wine shop called Folderol, and a bakery - Utopie - that is famous for its baguette and pastries. Their sweet sesame roll is an incredible pastry. The hotel is also a quick walk to Candelaria and it’s hidden bar, Buly (an amazing soap/perfume/beauty shop with an incredible antique cafe installed inside), and close to tons of other hip bars and cafes. The hotel rate was very good and the location superb.

Location was great. Close to 2 metro stations, bakeries and bistros. Room had adequate storage and space. Only things to note: - Bathroom had the usual lotion, body wash and shampoo, but did not have conditioner. - Bathroom door is saloon style (split in the middle and swings both ways) which was good for space purposes. However, the doors don't actually meet in the middle. There's a 1cm gap, so privacy could be a concern. - There also isn't any vents/fans/window in the bathroom so all the steam/smell goes back to the bedroom.

This stay was disappointing. I booked a twin room, which was not available. The hotel kept informing me that the issue was with hotels.com and that the issue happened frequently. I just needed the room - I did not care who were a fault. We did find a solution and the staff was very helpful. But his was not a multiple star hotel. I also asked to borrow an iron which I had for 5 mins. Then the reception called to get it back. Holes in the wall were filled with tissues. Phone did not work. No soap by the sink. Do not recommend
