D&J's Coastal Secret- Massive Views

Is there a better apartment on the coast - unlikely!

If you are visiting Kapiti on business or leisure you will love our high quality apartment, elevated with stunning views of the sea, Kapiti Island and the South Island.
You would have sole use of the large deck to enjoy Al Fresco dining or simply take in the last of the Kapiti sun, the views and the incredible sunsets.
The safe Raumati South beach is across the road and we are walking distance to the “Sunday Cantina” and “Raumati South Social Club”cafe and restaurant.
For the more active it is just a short walk to Kapiti's best kept secret, QE2 Park and its many walking and cycling tracks.

Short drive to many Kapiti Coast attractions:
-Paraparaumu Beach International Golf Course
-Kapiti Island -a must to visit but bookings essential.

Public transport a short distance away
Special conditions:
We live upstairs with two small dogs.
Our drive is rather steep so guests have the option of parking at the bottom of the drive and walking up or drive to the top. If necessary we will be available to assist. It would pay to discuss with Doug or Jan before you arrive. We will be able to give you directions because as per the heading it is a Secret Hideaway.

Everything I needed

Great weekend break - lovely apartment in great location. Lovely beach walks and easy walking to cafe. Fabulous views and great deck to relax on. Very comfortable bed and well equipped kitchen - everything that's needed for a great break away.

Fantastic!!

Best Stay Hands Down!!

Despite the rubbish weather, our 6 night stay at Doug & Jan’s was just what we were looking for!! Of all the motels and B&Bs we have stayed at, this would easily top the list!! Looking forward to our next stay, and will hopefully fluke better weather to allow for more of those amazing beach walks at low tide :-)

This was a super relaxing, sunny and peaceful mini stay. Of note is the cleanliness of the accommodation. This can really make or break a stay for us. Being well appointed and clean was a real bonus on top of those beautiful ocean views.

Fantastic hosts and property location, with great amenities. The weather wasnt great but that wasn't a bad thing as we really got to enjoy the apartment and have a very relaxing weekend! Would definitely love to stay again!

Coastal getaway

Lovely place to escape the city for a few days. The place is modern, clean, tidy, and had everything we needed. Our hosts were incredibly accommodating, even dropping us off at the station after we checked out! Looking forward to coming back again sometime.

What a lovely property!

First, Doug and Jan were so welcoming, and they made sure I had everything I needed for a comfortable stay. The place is lovely, and I could have spent forever sitting on the deck and looking at the sea. I have to say I think this is the best vacation rental I've stayed at in years!

Amazing stay

Jan and Doug’s place is an absolute delight. It’s perfectly located to strolls down on the beach and walks up to support the local cafes. The apartment has everything you need, it’s really comfortable and has all those little touches that make it feel Ike you are truly on holiday. S & J getaway

Jan was amazing. Dougs chutney is gorgeous. Perfect weekend getaway from the norm to relax and forget about work. The only downside is the steep drive but Shane negotiated reversing very well. Well worth the stay, thank you Jan and Doug.

A first class experience.

From the moment Jan met us and made us welcome we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is immaculate, romantic with fabulous views over the sea to the horizon. On our first day we could see the top of the South Island, Te Wai Pounamu and the Kaikouras.....heavenly. Jan and Doug had supplied essentials such as coffee and tea plus breakfast cereals and the pièce de rèsistance Doug's chutney. Thank you.

Beautiful Apartment with Fantastic View!

The apartment is beautifully styled and very comfortable with everything needed for a relaxing stay. Every window has a sea view and the wide deck was great for watching the waves roll in. The beach is only minutes from the property. Jan's welcome goodies were greatly appreciated. We thank Jan and David for the opportunity to enjoy Raumati South.

Relax and Relish

Doug and Jan have a wonderfully cosy and relaxing space to unwind and take in breathtaking views of the seascape. We were so impressed with everything in this property and the lovely attention to detail in the quality of linen, complementary treats, comfy bed and futon and homewares was so appreciated, not to mention Doug’s amazing eggplant relish! Peace and Quiet

Absolutely stunning view of Kapiti island and top of South island. Even when it rained it was still great to watch the sea. Very clean and cozy. Comfy bed and good shower. Nice touch was welcome gift of wine, beer and cheese and crackers. Doug's chutney very yummy. Wonderful walkway along the beach and good cafes close by.Hope to return in summer as too cold to enjoy the deck.

Stunning

Fabulous property, it has everything you could want, including bubbles ,beer, cheese and crackers on arrival! . The view over the ocean from every window and the amazing deck is one in a million!! The drive up and backing down is a challenge, but nothing that can't be done. Well worth it 👌 Doug and Jan the hosts, were very welcoming and there to help with anything.
