"Breakfast was good, but breakfast room is too small and outdated to the point of shabbiness. No trays or paper napkins available, much too crowded. The guest room was clean, but again, quite outdated. Poor lighting, very dim, nowhere with enough light for putting on contact lenses or makeup. The remote didn’t work most of the time, needed batteries. The tv required my amazon or Netflix ID to work unless I wanted to watch what seemed to be a Christian news channel. The Staff was nice. Since I was driving into town for an event at 3 pm, I requested an early check-in a week in advance and was told that was not possible. I then received an email requesting that I do an advance check-in online, the day before my arrival, with an option to pay $15 for early check-in, but my request never progressed beyond pending. I don’t understand the policy, check in time is 4 pm, checkout time is 11 am. When I checked out (before 10 am) I forgot an item in the room, I returned to retrieve it at 11 am that day the room had already been cleaned, as had many, if not most of the rooms on my floor. Seems to me that accommodating a guest with an early check-in is a pretty simple way to treat guests. Not sure I would return unless I absolutely couldn’t find other options."
"I had an unbelievable stay at Hotel Katerina. From the moment I arrived, the front desk team was warm and welcoming, and check-in was quick and seamless.
The amenities really stood out, the steam room, sauna, and small gym were perfect, especially after spending time at the nearby Sierra Nevada Brewery. It was a great way to unwind after a long day.
My room was spotless, and the bathroom was exceptional, clean, modern, and well-designed. I also have to mention the breakfast burrito, which was outstanding.
The location is ideal, the hotel is brand new, and the staff was consistently kind and courteous throughout my stay. Whenever I’m in Chico, this will be my go-to spot. Highly recommend for both couples and business travelers."
"Staff was not pleasant. On the way to our room was a trail of blood that lead from the ground floor up to our room on the 2nd floor. Cleaning crew passed over multiple times and never cleaned it up. Our door was unlocked when we entered and the safe was broken. Very disappointed "
"Our stay was awesome. The room was large, clean, and comfortable. The staff were all very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to everyone. The breakfast was also very good. A lot to choose from, fresh, and a very clean area."
