Great Hostel-type Rooms!

I stay here when i need to be in Papeete. Its convenient to the businesses i need to frequent, the property is in excellent condition and the staff is friendly and helpful. The hostel rooms are great, especially because the hotel is convenient to everything I need.

Great hotel near the cruise port, 6 minute walk. Very small rooms but the place was clean and they have a cafe on the ground floor and a restaurant and a panoramic bar on the 8th floor. For one night, I highly recommend. Hotel staff are friendly and helpful.

Surprise fee for storing our luggage

Overall, our stay at the Kon Tiki Hotel was pleasant — the location is excellent, right across from the ferry terminal, and the facilities are modern and comfortable. However, as returning guests, we were quite disappointed to be charged an additional fee for storing our luggage during our trip to other islands, even though we were coming back to stay at the hotel again. This policy feels very unreasonable and is something we have never experienced at other hotels. It’s a point the hotel should really reconsider, especially for repeat guests.

Polynesian Cabins by Kon Tiki is very clean, well organised and a great concept. Shared bathrooms were very clean, the bed was comfy and check in by staff at around 3:30am was quick and painless - so much better than trying to navigate a self-check in at that time. Rooms are small and have no windows but as they are clean with a great bed, I had everything I needed. Would recommend.
