Holiday Inn Express N.Myrtle Beach- Little River by IHG
2/10 Terrible
"I don’t typically write negative reviews, but this experience warrants one. This property does not meet the standard I expect from a Holiday Inn Express location. While the exterior is attractive, the interior is noticeably dated, sparsely furnished, and in disrepair. Cleanliness was also a concern, and the elevator had a strong, unpleasant odor.
Although the staff we encountered were polite, they were unable to resolve issues, and management was unresponsive. Attempts to contact the manager went unanswered, which was especially frustrating given the circumstances. We had prepaid for a four-night stay but chose to forfeit the remaining nights after the first evening. We only stayed that initial night because of a late arrival and lack of immediate alternatives.
We have stayed at this property in the past and found it questionable then, but it has clearly declined further. In contrast, our experiences with other Holiday Inn Express locations have been consistently positive, which makes this stay even more disappointing."
"Hot tub wasn't working and the indoor pool was very cold. We thought it would be heated. Breakfast was very good. Since the hotel is condo style on stilts, there is some stair climbing involved if you don't want to use the elevator."
"I truly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. It is in a great location that’s literally on the beach. I appreciated having a full kitchen and washer/drying in the room. There was even a dishwasher! My favorite thing was the balcony that faced the ocean, as I enjoy hearing the surf. One day I had an issue with my air conditioning unit but I was fixed immediately. I would absolutely stay here again. With its indoor and outdoor pools, close proximity to the beach, and all the room amenities, this location would be an excellent spot for a family vacation too!"
"First , the staff was friendly and helpful. The room itself was nice size, nice bed , quiet, it was very nice for the price . Unfortunately the hotel allows pets , which should be relegated to 1 or 2 floors, but apparently that’s out of control. The halls have carpet from a distance it looks nice, but there were several pet urine stains . The smell was terrible . If they replace the halls with tile, they might be able to control it . It could be a really nice place for the price ."
