Every cab driver told me it was unsafe to walk around the hotel. It had ZERO amenities. There was a bed, harder than the tile floor. just a sheet, no blankets, no bathroom amenities at all. The air conditioner was pointed directly at your head! 2 towels, no face or bath towels. In visiting now 110 countries this was thr worst place I've ever stayed at!!!

The price was inexpensive. The staff was cool. The manager was a perfect gentleman. The rooms need to... Well the room was terrible at best, just being honest. I felt like I was entering a prison cell and perhaps the prison has better beds. Omg. Wasn't that embarrassing to put someone in that bed? That bed needed the dump! Gave us neck pain back pain all sorts of pain.. we paid for the week and left after the 2nd night.. never again.. keep the change..

Good place to sleep for the price
Only reason I am satisfied with the stay is for the low price point. The location is OK, only a 25-30 min walk to Casco Viejo and right next to a subway station which I found helpful. The road that the hotel is on is a fairly major road and felt safe enough at night. Inside, the hotel room is extremely basic as seen in the photos, and all of the furniture including the mattress is quite dated. The room felt clean other than the presence of some small insects. A/C worked just fine during my stay. The internet however was not completely stable, there was never a severe outage but there were blips. I would definitely stay here again if it was once again the cheapest hotel room. But mainly for the reason of price.

Roach infested don’t book!
Cheap or not I almost ran out that place! If I hadn’t been alone I would have left. It’s infested with roaches. The bed is like a prison bed and they don’t give blankets just a thin white sheet. I slept with the lights on praying that it scares the roaches from coming around me! I did not sleep well as soon as there was sun I was gone!

Price was great, hotel had a garage but this hotel has a different life at night. You could tell this is more an hourly hotel (if you understand what I mean). Area does not look safe. I took an uber to Casco Viejo about 10min. I would not recommended for family, this is more for a solo travelers, if you are just passing by this is a good price.

The TV remote and the room key card were not working, I need to go to and fro the reception many times to change and change again. There was no additional blanket provided, just a very thin bed sheet. You have to wear clothes to sleep at night.

One night stay. Good, clean, basic hotel. I'd describe it as "bare bones" which is no more than I'd expect for $41, tax included. The service was exemplary. The room was large, well equipped and clean! Well situated a couple blocks from Metro Station Lotería and about 4 blocks from the coast walkway.

yuck
first room they gave us was not cleaned, the next room was left opened and i was afraid to enter because it was so dark. the bed was rock. there were no toiletries. bad ac. pictures look great but its nothing like those pictures.

For the money not bad, would never go with a spouse or recommend for a single woman, not the safest area of Panama City. The staff is courteous and helpful. There was nothing to do there other than sleep. Casinos close by made somewhat entertaining.

The property was ok not the best but ok the first room I got the bed was a little bit hard but they changed the room for me which was good but then came the WiFi issue I was only getting 1 bar in the room but overall the staff are friendly and helpful would I go back probably because it’s cheap

Excellent staff so a great value...but HARD bed
Very happy with this hotel. Aaron the manager and the night doorman were outstanding. Rm 305 CAVEAT: Calidonia is not for the naïve tourist or family. A woman I dined with was appalled that I stayed there. I did not feel unsafe, but the city had a 9pm curfew and I was not wandering alone in the dark of night. GREAT Service. Aaron had the desk when I checked in. He treated me like a guest in his home when chatting (in excellent English) with me about things I was looking for, from food to shopping to sightseeing. The nightguard/doorman, though he didn’t speak English, actually walked me to a store to buy a phone card. I am ashamed to say that I left without tipping either. GOOD Room appeared newly renovated Cold AC No prob with wifi Electrics (plugs near bed and lights) Area: street food and exploring a low-end area Security. Night guard and cameras. My room lock failed and nothing was bothered. MEH HKs could be better. (hair found in 3 places in bathroom) Window looked out into garage Cheapest TP ever (?) Bed light wattage too low for reading Renovation crew was not exactly highly skilled. BAD Area: Caledonia is not the best neighborhood. It is not the worst, but it may be NEXT to the worst HARD bed Quite a bit of street noise, inlc. some early-AM construction that stopped b4 9am Door lock did NOT. Suggest adding some wall hooks. The Panama heat means no jackets to hang up, but it also means sweaty clothes to hang up. Also a dopp bag hook in the bathroom.

The room was very small, no fridge, no bathmat, no shampoo. Probably not the hotel's fault, but the fire alarm went off at 4:00am on a false alarm, so spent a bad night. The bed itself was HARD. No blanket, just a sheet, so I had to turn off the air conditioning.

You get what you pay for.
I had no complaints about the room itself, it was clean, the location is great. However, they do not provide blankets, or a small bathmat-size towel to keep the bathroom floor dry. It's very easy to get water on the floor with the way the shower is, and they decided to surprise charge me $10 for the "dirty towel" on checkout, which was pretty rude considering they had not provided me any other way to dry the floor.

Great hotel! Inexpensive and modern, nice staff.
Great hotel! Inexpensive and modern, freshly renovated. Good amenities: air conditioning, restaurant, hot tub, high-speed free WiFi, TV with many local channels... The staff was the best! They are kind and happy to help. They arranged a meeting with a guide for me and got me better prices than I had previously found. After my phone fell in water during the trip, they even lended me a phone to warn my relatives so they would not worry, and they helped me with my flight check-in. They also gave me good pieces of advice on things to do in the city, like Recreovía de Panamá (every Sunday morning you can get a bike for free near the bus station Aquilino de la Guardia and ride on a portion of the Carretera Interamericana, closed for the occasion). That was really cool! You might have a hard time if you don't understand/speak at least basic Spanish, but it is the same pretty much everywhere in Panama, as the vast majority of the population does not speak English (86% according to ExpatFocus). The restaurant is good and the staff is very pleasant there too. The location is good. By walking, you will need less than 10 minutes to reach the ocean and less than 30 minutes to go to Casco Viejo. I had a wonderful stay at this hotel and would definitely book again! Thank you :)

No satisfied at all.would love a refund. There was no water to take a shower when I arrived. The bed is hard and uncomfortable. No wash clothes to wash , my tv isn't working properly, and my room was hot, took an hour to get cool
