Bay Front Home W/Private Bch in Historic Neighborhood. Family/Dog Friendly
This is not just a house for rent it is a home with family memories and local history displayed throughout. This home was built by my father in the 1950s. We finished a complete renovation in 2015, and it feels like a retreat.
It has an attached two car carport. Two ingress/egress points: carport door & Bayside door. The carport door opens into a full kitchen with laundry. It has full size appliances with front loading washer/dryer and it is fully stocked with the basic necessities and essentials required for a pleasant stay. The kitchen opens into the family room with games, tv, dvd player, wireless speaker & fireplace. Through the living room you come to the bay room and dining room with huge windows to take in the gorgeous views of the bay, port & marina. The hall off the LR leads to the bedrooms & baths. First you come to the twin bed room that is equipped with a tv & bay view. Next is the queen size bed room with bay view. Across from these rooms is the main bath with tub & shower. Further down the hall is the master bedroom with a king bed, private bath, reading area and also with a bay view.
Now for the outside. Just outside the bay side door is an outside shower and fenced in side yard with plenty of shade. Right next to that is a relaxing brick patio with table & chairs and a beautiful bay view. Also on the bay side of the house is a large deck with rocking chairs, dining table, benches and a sail shade for you to relax and enjoy the views and the wonderful bay breeze. From the deck and all the bayside windows you can see the huge grass front yard that is a certified wildlife habitat for birds and butterflies which leads to your private bay front beach complete with beach chairs and fire pit. Take a look at the photos tab to get a taste of what you might see from the beach and deck.
The house is stocked with bath towels/cloths, soaps, detergents, cleaning supplies, hair dryers, flat iron, magnifying mirror, iron & ironing board, dvds and a special 'forget me not' basket with most anything you might have forgotten. You are also welcome to enjoy the 'put-n-take' library just at the hall entrance. We didn't forget about the furry guests. We have a large crate, dog beds, bowls, leash, brush, toys and towels for your dog. We have a dogs only pet policy.
We offer nightly and weekly rates throughout the year. Monthly rates are available for October through February during which time we will rent for a maximum of 31 days per stay.

Absolutely the most beautiful and wonderful home and property…a certified butterfly and bird sanctuary! I can’t think of a single thing we needed to enjoy the home and grounds. Our second visit and we’ll be back again to sit in the sunroom, watch the squirrels and birds and sparkling bay. Exceptional!!
This is a lovely old beach cottage with filled with unique decor and antiques. Such a quaint and interesting home. The view of the bay is spectacular and the property is a certified wildlife habitat . A great quiet walkable neighborhood and being dog friendly all adds to the experience. The St. Andrews neighborhood has an old Florida feel to it which we love, yet the beautiful Panama City beaches are only minutes away.
Historic Gem with Exceptional Hosting and Natural BeautyRating: Our stay at this beautiful Panama City, Florida home was nothing short of incredible. The hosts have thought of everything; the property was equipped with every amenity we could possibly need and more. For nature lovers, this location is unbeatable. We spent our days immersing ourselves in the local wildlife and exploring the stunning surroundings, including:* Hiking trails at Conservation Park* Trips to Saint Andrews State Park and Pine Log Wildlife Refuge.* Taking our two pups to the fantastic dog beach at Pier Park.* Renting a pontoon for a memorable excursion to Shell Island. Each evening ended perfectly with breathtaking sunsets by the fire.Beyond the property and the location, we were most impressed by the generosity and flexibility of our hosts. When a major storm unfortunately cut our trip short, they were incredibly accommodating and helped us navigate our changing plans during a stressful situation. Their hospitality truly went above and beyond. We cannot recommend this home highly enough and look forward to returning!
The home and decor have tons of character. The hosts were very informative and easy to work with. The home is clean and very well appointed. We hope to stay again soon.
We stayed over Christmas and arrived to a thoughtfully decorated home. Every detail was perfect. The outdoor area was absolutely lovely with western sunset view over the beautiful St. Andrew Bay. We couldn't ask for more.
This was an amazing home. We all loved the area and the house. The bay beach area was perfect for those double red flag beach days. The sunrises and sunsets were on point. Ellen and Robbie are amazing hosts. We look forward to going back.
The feedback from the people I rented the house for were absolutely in love with the amenities, and they had nothing but nice things to say about the house and the host!

Beautiful location and everything is as stated. We were in town for our son's wedding and the house worked well for us - 5 adults and 1 toddler. We liked the private beach but was only a few minutes from anything we needed from food, recreational activities and most importantly the wedding. I think we only used a couple of items but the stocked pantry was great and availbilty of incidentals was great and appreciated. Even a basket of beach toys for the kids!
Would definately stay again if we were going to be in the area.
We had such a great time at this house on the bay! It was sparkling clean, cozy and comfortable, and stocked with everything we needed for a weekend. My daughter and I came over from Tallahassee for the weekend to watch the Christmas boat parade on St Andrew’s Bay and it was amazing! The home is in a very quiet neighborhood but an easy walk to restaurants and food trucks. It has a great porch outside and a sandy beach on the bay where you can watch the sunset. We went shopping at Pier Park which is about 7 miles away. There are so many shops and restaurants very close. It is near the beaches but away from all of the the busyness. I can’t wait to return to this wonderful property!
This was our 2nd stay! The property owners go out of their way to make sure you have everything you need. Very pet-friendly with a separate fenced area on the side of the house that’s shaded and has a shower station! Beautiful views each day… all day…. of St Andrews Bay. You hear the gulls, see tugs and barges go by, listen to the fighter jets doing their practice runs from Tyndall Air Force base. Lots of friendly neighbors. Oaks by the Bay Park has a farmers market ea wkend. Frank Brown Park as well as Conservation Park have awesome walking paths. We totally enjoyed our monthly stay! Thx!!!
These hosts thought of EVERYTHING! From a shared pantry in case you forgot something to dog leashes, toys, bedding and towels! Stunning scenery, quiet surroundings and a 15 minute drive across the bridge to the beach. Read the literature provided to give some insight to the decor and warm feeling of this home. Clean, clean, clean too!
We will be booking again!
The house was old Florida, which I love. The yard had lovely flowering plants that attracted all manner of birds and butterflies. We had some strong winds and a squirrel fell to the ground and was injured. Ellen and Robbie consulted a vet and attempted to save the little guy. The beach was quiet, peaceful and clean. The water was shallow which was great for throwing a ball out into the water. The restaurant in the area were great. Loved the place. The only thing that we would have enjoyed is a pier.
The house was thoughtfully stocked with about everything one could imagine -- and more besides. From spices to birding books to eco friendly toilet paper, the owners had thought of it all. The views were outstanding and it was wonderful to be able to take coffee by the bay, or enjoy a fire pit (with wood kindly provided). The house itself is as advertised: an unpretentious family home, preserved in time, with vintage furnishings & family photos. The owners live beside the cottage and are available for assistance. There were small signs/notes on several pieces of furniture, couches, beds, chairs (do not put shoes or pets on furniture). While we completely understood the sentiment, all those signs were a little off putting. The house is about 2 lots away from a sewage transfer/ mini sub-station point (forget the exact term); on the beach, it did *occasionally* smell and it could be noisy for short periods. This didn't impinge on our enjoyment of the waterfront, since it was occasional. The neighborhood's pleasant and quiet, convenient for a nice walk and not far from the restaurants of St Andrews. Highly recommend Luna Muna for breakfast & Uncle Ernie's for above average seafood fare. Final note: we tried the nearest grocery -- Outlet Grocery -- and would recommend driving further afield if you like a wide selection (like fancy butter or organic veg). All in all, we had a relaxing, quiet weekend in a well stocked home with beautiful views and access to the bay.
A wonderful, peaceful getaway with beautiful views of St. Andrews Bay. The owners are thoughtful with their rental home by providing every little detail you would need for a relaxing stay. This extends to your pet(s) too! Items like water bowls, toys, leashes, tags, dog towels and blankets plus a well-kept outdoor shower & wash area for your furry friends. For the humans ... Comfortable beds with super clean bedding and clean home with a fresh smell I loved. Lots of interesting books and photos about the St. Andrews area. Comfy couch and chairs. Large dining room with beautiful view of bay. By the water there is a fire pit area with sturdy large chairs AND they provide chopped wood along with a cart to transport to beach. I could go on-and-on about the nice amenities and great location. Make sure to get fresh seafood at Buddy Gandy's Seafood close by. My husband and I have stayed at houses and cabins all over the place and this one by far was one of the cleanest, well-kept we've stayed at. All 'pros', maybe the only 'con' would be not enough quality cookware (fry pans are worn) and no sharp knives in kitchen but that's me ... I'm a gal that likes to cook. Believe me, there are a LOT of great restaurants around to not have to cook. Oh, and my husband mentioned a 'con' for the fishing people ... the bay is shallow there. Bring your water shoes to walk out for deeper fishing. But again ... no need to catch your fish dinner with all the great places to eat close by.
It was beautiful very friendly owners beutiful views of the bay and the birds and wildlife also the home itself had so much history via books, pictures, notes and very historical i loved it will definitely be back
This was our second time staying at this property, and it won't be our last! The owners are absolutely amazing and the property itself is breathtaking! And, you're just minutes from anything you could possibly want or need.
Outstanding property. Certified wildlife habitat, private beach on the bay, lots of memories on display. Owners thought of every possible need.Truly Paradise!
We enjoyed our quiet slow paced stay so close to all the excitement. Ellen was quick to answer any questions. Look forward to bringing my family back to this beautiful home.
