  • Pelican patiently waits for some fish scraps from the user of a man cleaning his fish. There are 2 piers in Panama and both cost $3 to walk them. The one closest to Pier Park is further out into the Gulf so it's more worth it if you can only do 1 pier. They do stamp your hand so you can go on and off it all day. On the pier a lot of people fish so watch for them hooks. From what I was told to fish in Florida you need a salt water and a fresh water licence in order to fish in the different waters. There are also signs posted on the pier about how to handle a situation if sea turtles get caught.

Home away from Home

We've had a wonderful time at this rental. Location is perfect for day trips East to St George Island and between, and West to Gulf Shores Alabama and between. Walk to beach. We contemplated renting a golf cart for our month long stay, but it really wasn't necessary. So much to do at the rental; tennis, pickleball, many pools (some heated) Putt Putt, Shuffleboard and walking around talking with other renters! Our unit was perfect for the two of us and big enough to house 2-4 more. Comfortable beds. Great communication with owner whenever we had questions. Everything we needed to make our stay perfect. Very nicely decorated. Would definitely stay here again.
