Best Western Dinosaur Valley Inn & Suites

10/10 Excellent

"The set up was perfect for families (we did two queens)- it had two separate bedrooms with a bed and full bathroom in each. Only one had a bathtub (the other was shower only), and the door separating the rooms had a lock on one side (to be a aware of if you stay with kids that may lock it). The breakfast was admittedly lackluster, but it was fine for free (waffles, juice, yogurt, packaged muffins). Overall, we’d do this one again."

10/10 Excellent

"We loved our stay here. The house was beautiful and served our needs perfectly. All of the little extras (qtips, makeup pads, etc) and the variety of coffee was much appreciated. I loved sitting out on the back porch in the evening. Also the thoughtful gift the host left was awesome. We will definitely book again when in the area."

La Palmilla Texas

10/10 Excellent

"The vibe here is immaculate. The old style, but brand new Spanish architecture is wonderful and makes you feel like you are lounging in 1920's Hollywood. Staff was great and the beautiful area on the banks of the Brazos just makes the whole thing. The rooms are new and well equipped, including Spansh style four poster beds. We loved it and are planning on coming back!"

La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Glen Rose

8/10 Good

"Older hotel that has been refreshed with newish paint throughout. The room with king bed was clean & bed was comfortable. Encased mattress, so i didn't have to worry about bed bugs, thank God. We had a little trouble getting the room AC set correctly so we weren't too hot or freezing. The weather outside was nice daytime & cooler at night, so AC seemed confused. Biggest gripe was lacking of any bright lights in room. It had 2 lamps & 1 sconce on wall, but none of them put out much light. Dark room all the time. Second gripe was toilet. Had to hold down lever for awhile to get it to flush properly & sometimes had to try twice. Very irritating. The caulking around tub needs to be redone. Can see where mold was. Breakfast was standard fare of scrambled eggs, sausage patties or links, hot biscuits, waffles, cereal, juices, coffee. It was good. Area was clean. Yes, we would stay here again & hopefully they will put in brighter wattage light bulbs. Hotel is on hwy & close to Dinosaur Valley State Park, restaurants. Not far from downtown. BTW, Glen Rose shuts down on Monday & Tuesday, so restaurant choices were limited."

Rough Creek Lodge Ranch and Resort

10/10 Excellent

"The staff was outstanding, pleasant and helpful. The breakfast buffet was delicious, and we had dinner one night and the steaks were excellent. I was able to extend checkout for an extra hour which was very helpful, as my granddaughter was able to ride the pony again. We participated in multiple activities such as Tomahawk and Archery; the attendants were helpful and provided positive feedback. The pool was chilly, but doable for children. The only disappointing thing that occurred was the adults were unable to ride horses."
