"This lakehouse is located in a beautiful and quiet cove! House is very clean! We didn't spend too much time in the house as we enjoyed the screened in porch where we watched wildlife everyday! The dock is beautiful where you can catch some sun rays or relax in the shaded screened in area! The water in the cove is pristine and perfect for swimming, kayaking, SUP boarding and fishing! The bass were stubborn, but my son managed to catch a decent size largemouth off the dock! Can't beat the scenery from the dock as you look into the main, deep area of Smith Mountain Lake and see the mountains in the background! We rented a pontoon from The Dock at SML (which I would highly recommend) as it is just two coves from the house! Unfortunately, due to abnormally low water level, we were not able to dock our boat at the house, but it wasn't much of an inconvenience leaving it at the marina as it is only a few minute drive on Smith Mountain road from the house. Chris is very accommodating and responds very quickly to any concerns you may have. Thank you Chis for sharing your beautiful SML lakehouse! My family and I had the perfect getaway!"
