I would have loved to give this beautiful property five stars. However, the pool heater malfunctioned sometime on Saturday, heating the pool to 107 degrees, in Florida, in July, making the pool unusable for 3 days! The first day we swam in the pool, Friday, the pool water was a refreshing 81 degrees - perfect! After finding the pool at 107 degrees on Saturday night, I spent an entire day calling and emailing the property management, who kept telling me they would have pool maintenance check out the situation. They then kept insisting that the pool heater was off; however, the temperature kept climbing. Finally, they sent someone to check the pool and realized it had malfunctioned and there was something wrong with the display and they had to turn off the heater manually. Once the heater was physically turned off by pool maintenance, they told me the pool water temperature should start going down. I asked if there was any way they could cool down the water quicker and was told I would just have to wait for it to naturally cool back down. It remained over 100 degrees for a couple of days, then slowly went down into the 90’s. We were unable to safely use this pool for three days of our stay. My family traveled from New Jersey and rented this beautiful home especially for the pool and it was unsafe and unusable for half our stay. This was a disaster and greatly affected the quality of our stay.
