"Spectacular interior spaces and super friendly owner. The interior is filled with incredible woodwork, especially grand staircase. Our suite was large and comfortable. Books everywhere to read. Great amount of satisfying choices for breakfast. We were pleasantly stuffed afterwards. Close to several restaurants. We were biking the Erie Canal Trail from Syracuse to Amsterdam NY and it was very convenient, close to trail and owner insisted on having our bikes inside. Loved it!!!"

"This is a great little gem if you are traveling through upstate. The property is well maintained, the room had ample space, was decorated nicely, and was clean! Austin is very friendly and helpful. I know many of the reviews mention the waffles for breakfast. They are ALL correct! They are amazing. It’s an expansive spread for an included breakfast. We would most definitely stay here again if we travel this way."

"Close to the thruway (I-90), so convenient in a car. Not so much on a bike ;-). I was riding the Erie Canal Trail, and its a substantial climb up from the canal. Almost nowhere to eat nearby once youre there too. Cest la vie... Good value otherwise!"

"The property is closing for renovations at the end of the season. I understood this when booking the property so I expected some issues. It was a bit dilapidated but you do not renovate a perfect property. Therefore I have NO complaints. The view was awesome. The staff was fabulous (esp. Doreen in reservations and Willis at the front desk). I hope to visit again once renovations are completed."
